Warner Bros Launches WB Movieverse NFTS With the Lord of the Rings

Warner Bros marks its debut by becoming the first movie studio to launch their NFTs in WB Movieverse. Warner Bros Home Entertainment has partnered with content blockchain firm Eluvio to produce The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring Web3 Movie Experience.

Warner Bros. announced the unveiling of “The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring Web3 Movie Experience,” which is a re-release of Peter Jackson’s 2001 film. The CEO of Eluvio Michelle Munson believes that the partnership is expected to help bring films-as-NFTs to a widespread audience.

A spokesperson from Warner Bros said in an interview:

First and foremost, we’re always looking at ways to delight and surprise our movie fans and collectors, and that’s especially true for ‘The Lord of the Rings. It lets fans experience the movie in a whole new way

Additionally, there will be three different navigation menus included in the Epic Edition – the Shire, Rivendell, and Mines of Moria – while the Mystery Edition will only have one of them.

The movie will release two editions, namely the Mystery Edition and Epic Edition. The producers added that the Epic Edition will be a limited series with only 999 in circulation. Both editions include the extended edition of the film as well as some bonus material.

In related news, actress Reese Witherspoon has also gotten into NFTs while she continues to turn the leading women-led and women-centric project into an entertainment juggernaut. In addition, Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine production company revealed intentions to adapt Yam Karkai’s World of Women NFT concept into motion pictures and television shows last month.
