  • XRP whale inflows to Binance fell to a two-month low, pointing to weaker selling by large holders.
  • Short sellers absorbed nearly all liquidations as XRP’s rally forced many bearish traders to exit positions.
  • Strong XRP futures activity across major exchanges showed broad market participation during the recent rally.

XRP whale inflows to Binance have dropped to their lowest level in about two months, a sign that some of the token’s largest holders are moving fewer coins onto the exchange. XRP traded near $1 as investors assessed whether the decline in exchange inflows pointed to easing selling pressure.

CryptoQuant analyst Arab Chain said the 30-day whale inflow indicator had fallen 34.4% since late June to about 947.4 million XRP, down from a peak of roughly 1.445 billion XRP. Lower exchange inflows can indicate reduced selling activity by large holders, although they do not necessarily signal that prices are about to rise.

Whale Selling Pressure Shows Signs of Cooling

CryptoQuant analyst Darkfost reported in a post on X that Binance recorded an even steeper drop in whale inflows, with transfers falling from 583 million XRP, worth about $1.36 billion, to 25.3 million XRP, valued at roughly $23 million.

Darkfost also said the 90-day average value of those inflows had declined to about $69 million from $460 million in January 2025. He said the trend suggested selling activity by large XRP holders may be slowing.

Short Sellers Absorb Most Liquidations

Derivatives market data also pointed to growing pressure on bearish traders during XRP’s recent rally. CoinGlass recorded about $3.91 million in liquidations over the past 24 hours, with short positions accounting for roughly $3.74 million and long positions about $175,300.

Over the previous 12 hours, short liquidations totaled about $2.60 million, compared with roughly $94,010 for long positions. The imbalance indicates many traders betting against XRP likely closed their positions as prices rose, a move commonly known as a short squeeze.

Futures Activity Remains Broad

Binance accounted for the largest share of XRP futures trading, with volume reaching about $597.89 million. MEXC followed at roughly $506.99 million, while Bybit processed around $213.61 million, reflecting strong activity across the largest derivatives exchanges.

OKX recorded approximately $201.91 million in XRP futures volume, with Bitget handling about $137.49 million. Trading was also active on several other exchanges, indicating that participation in XRP’s latest rally was broad-based rather than concentrated on a single platform.
