Latest reports have confirmed that more than $120,000 has been collected by crypto influencer Ben Armstrong, popularly known as BitBoy Crypto. Just a few hours ago, Armstrong posted a video on Twitter discussing death threats and blackmail he has received from his media company, HIT Network. He also claimed that they had drained Armstrong of all financial resources, leaving him unable to mount a legal battle.

Armstrong highlighted that he and his family are “scared for our lives.” Moreover, Hit Network allegedly sent death threats to Armstrong after he filed a lawsuit. When he initiated legal action against the threats, the network “agreed to negotiate,” driving Armstrong to withdraw the lawsuit. In his thread, Armstrong insisted,

I’m humbly asking anyone who has ever benefited from my content or anything I’ve done to help donate to my legal fund to get BitBoy Crypto back.

While Armstrong’s plea has garnered major attention and donations, other big names in the crypto community are calling him out for causing losses for his audience. For instance, crypto analyst Emperor accused Armstrong of partnering with fraudulent coins and selling them “to his innocent audience,” leading them to lose their life savings.

Renowned internet sleuth ZachXBT also commented about the individuals who suffered financial losses due to Armstrong’s promotion of sketchy projects, particularly meme coins. Armstrong was fired from the BitBoy Crypto Company on grounds of substance abuse and for promoting the bankrupt exchange FTX, without disclosing compensation arrangements.

Crypto trader Cevo noted that Armstrong had a “miserable life” both with and without money, henceforth celebrating his downfall. “I’m glad you finally got what you deserved,” remarked the expert. Simultaneously, influencer 0x pointed out that Armstrong was wearing a Rolex watch in his latest videos, suggesting that there is a possibility he is lying about his financial situation.
