- OPEC+, US ISM PMI, RBA, JOLTS, Congress elections, Eurozone CPI, BoE and US Jobs data headline Nov. 1–6.
- The week could affect Bitcoin, oil, gold, industrial commodities, major stock indices and AI/tech stocks.
- This raises concerns about whether the week will deepen risk-off sentiment or trigger a market reversal.
The first week of November could prove decisive for global financial markets as investors brace for an exceptionally busy period from November 1–6, 2026.
Eight major macroeconomic and policy events, including the OPEC+ meeting, US economic data releases, central bank interest-rate decisions and the US jobs report, are set to take center stage.
The developments could have significant implications for Bitcoin (BTC), oil, gold, industrial commodities, major stock indices and artificial intelligence (AI)-related stocks as investors assess shifting inflation expectations, economic growth, borrowing costs and risk appetite. The big question now is whether the week’s events will reinforce the current risk-off sentiment or trigger a market reversal.
November 1: OPEC+ Meeting – Oil Supply Takes Center Stage
OPEC+ members with voluntary adjustments will meet on Sunday, November 1. At their October 4 meeting, the group left November production targets unchanged. A similar response is expected in December as the Middle East remains disrupted and actual production is about 5 million bpd lower than before the conflict.
Any indication of additional supply or demand curbs will have a direct impact on oil prices, which recently hovered near $117 for Brent and $104 for WTI. Rising oil would add additional pressure to industrial commodities, help gold act as an inflation hedge in the near term, and put pressure on risk assets such as BTC and stocks. A neutral result would keep oil high and help to maintain the prevailing risk-off mood, especially in rate-sensitive AI and tech stocks plagued by cash burn.
November 2: US ISM Manufacturing PMI – A Test of Economic Strength
The Institute for Supply Management (ISM) will release the October Manufacturing PMI on Monday, Nov. 2. The reading was 54.5 in September, while the consensus had converged around 54.7. A print above 50 is still indicative of growth.
A stronger-than-expected outcome would validate growth demand and could be positive for key equity and industrial commodities, offering a small positive for Bitcoin as a risk asset. On the other hand, a softer read would further amplify cooling-demand worries, the risk-off sentiment and pressure on AI/tech stocks.
November 3: RBA Interest Rate Decision – Another Inflation Test
The Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) will announce its policy decision on Tuesday, Nov.3. The current cash rate is 4.60%. But markets and all four Australian banks now see a high chance of a 25 basis-point increase to 4.85% as a result of high inflation and hawkish central bank remarks.
A hike would confirm the global tightening story, and support the Australian dollar and gold in the short term, and pressure BTC, equities and AI/tech stocks. A hold would surprise markets and could provide a temporary boost to risk appetite.
November 3: US JOLTS and Congressional Elections – Labor Demand Meets Political Uncertainty
September JOLTS job openings, with consensus around 7.1 million, will be released Tuesday, Nov. 3, alongside the US midterm elections that will decide control of the House and Senate. Labor-market resilience would keep the Fed rate-cut expectations in check and support the dollar, weigh on gold and Bitcoin, while industrial commodities may react to growth signals.
Meanwhile, Congressional election-related policy uncertainty could amplify volatility across stocks, industrial commodities, and AI names. However, more clarity and less uncertainty can help calm markets, while continued ambiguity would help sustain risk-off conditions.
November 4: Eurozone CPI – Inflation and ECB Expectations
Eurostat will release October flash CPI on Wednesday, Nov. 4, and consensus is looking for headline inflation to hit 3.9% YoY, up from 3.8% in September, while core will remain at 2.5%. Energy is still the primary catalyst.
Any hotter data would reinforce market bets on additional ECB tightening, bolstering the euro and gold, while weighing on European stocks, Bitcoin and global risk assets. Softer figures would ease those concerns.

November 4: US ISM Services PMI – A Critical Growth Indicator
The ISM Services PMI for October will follow later on Wednesday. September’s reading was 54.9, with expectations near 54.8. Services remain the largest part of the US economy. A strong print would highlight economic strength and lift major indices and industrial commodities. A notable miss would heighten growth fears, weigh on equities and Bitcoin, and potentially benefit gold.
November 5: Bank of England Rate Decision – A Global Monetary Policy Signal
The Bank of England’s (BoE) Monetary Policy Committee will meet on Thursday, Nov. 5, with a strong consensus for a 25-basis-point increase to 4.00%, the first hike in more than three years, after persistent inflation and resilient data.
That said, a hike would confirm global tightening, strengthen sterling, and squeeze UK and global stocks, Bitcoin, and rate-sensitive AI/tech stocks. The tone of the guidance on future direction should be closely monitored as it could either further drive risk-off sentiment or help to keep the downside contained.
November 6: US Jobs Report – NFP, Wages and Unemployment in Focus
The week’s last major data release will be October employment data on Friday, Nov. 6. The consensus is around 65,000 non-farm payrolls, an unemployment rate around 4.2%, and closely watched average hourly earnings.
A solid report would leave rate expectations high for longer, providing a boost to the dollar and industrial metals while weighing on gold, BTC, and equity multiples, mainly AI and tech. A weak print could reawaken hopes for Fed easing earlier than expected, and trigger a risk-on rally, though the upside may be capped by sticky wages.
Final Outlook: Risk-Off or Market Reversal?
Markets will start the week with AI-related equity weakness, high oil prices, and risk-averse risk appetite. Another rate hike from the central banks, solid labour or inflation data, and elevated energy prices could extend the risk-off mood, weigh on Bitcoin, main stocks, and AI/tech stocks, but benefit oil and selectively gold.
As a result, a cluster of weak economic data or lower inflation could signal a relief rally. The combination of growth indicators, high inflation, and policy reaction will determine whether the week will add to the caution or will create a wider market turnaround.
