A member of the XRP community on X, CharuSan XRP, believes XRP is one of the rare projects where the coin itself will be used rather than just the network. In his latest post on X, he highlighted the capabilities of AI agents, noting that they will execute trades on the XRP network in the future.
AI Agents Will Handle Most XRP Transactions
According to the XRP user, most people focus on payments whenever AI agents are mentioned within the XRP ecosystem. It makes them focus on network activities that could influence the cryptocurrency’s demand, particularly how many tokens will be burned.
Far from that, he said token burns will be insignificant in XRP’s future structure given the scale of AI-driven activity. CharuSan argued that future XRP trades will increasingly involve institutions or AI rather than individual human participants. According to him, AI will execute thousands of times more transactions than humans do.
He further explained that AI agents, making decisions based on their underlying algorithms and data analysis, can use XRPL libraries to buy millions of tokens in the market within seconds, withdraw to their wallets, and lock the tokens on-chain for a specific period via a completely autonomous protocol-level XRPL.
XRPL is Purpose-Built for AI Agents
It is worth noting that the XRP ecosystem has crossed a major milestone of 1.4 million autonomous bot transactions as of July 2026. RippleX engineers project that this volume will surge to 100 million transactions within the next few years.
Experts believe the XRPL is purpose-built for AI agents, considering its underlying features, such as deterministic finality, predictably low fees, and the native multi-currency with a built-in DEX.
Notably, the vast majority of today’s agentic transactions involve software bots buying and selling tech infrastructure from other bots. Meanwhile, the XRP ecosystem is building a governance framework that will allow AI programs to purchase real-world goods securely.
