XRP Shows Signs of Recovery as ETFs and Buy Signals Strengthen Outlook

Ripple has strengthened its artificial intelligence payments strategy by joining the x402 Foundation as a Premier Member. The move places the blockchain company alongside leading technology, financial, and payment firms working to create an open standard for internet-native transactions.

Additionally, Ripple plans to advance machine-to-machine payments through the XRP Ledger by supporting both XRP and RLUSD. The initiative reflects growing industry demand for payment systems that allow AI agents to complete transactions as efficiently as they exchange information online.

Ripple Backs Open Standards for AI Commerce

The Linux Foundation recently activated the x402 Foundation under an independent governance model after Coinbase contributed the x402 protocol. Consequently, developers, payment providers, and financial institutions can collaborate on improving secure payment standards without depending on a single vendor. Moreover, the foundation already includes 40 member organizations spanning cloud computing, payments, blockchain, and financial technology.

XRP Ledger Targets Agentic Payments

Ripple intends to expand developer tools that enable AI agents to settle payments directly through the XRP Ledger. Besides supporting XRP, the company also promotes RLUSD for internet-native transactions.

Meanwhile, other Premier Members, including Visa, Mastercard, Stripe, Google, Circle, and AWS, continue shaping standards that encourage interoperability across payment networks. Hence, the initiative could accelerate secure digital commerce as AI agents increasingly handle financial activities without human intervention.
