- Bitget recorded $1.86 trillion in Q3 2026 trading volume, driven by growth across crypto and TradFi markets.
- Independent reports recognised Bitget’s strong liquidity across crypto and tokenized stock markets.
- Bitget restored its Protection Fund to over $300 million and introduced additional security measures.
Bitget recorded $1.86 trillion in total trading volume in the third quarter of 2026, driven by increased activity in crypto derivatives, spot trading, and traditional financial markets.
According to its Q3 2026 Transparency Report, the exchange saw monthly trading volume grow by 21.2% between July and September. Crypto derivatives trading rose 31.5% to $409.19 billion, while spot trading increased by 65.7%.
Trading in traditional financial products also grew. Contract for Difference (CFD) trading volume increased 39.7% to $376.32 billion, making it Bitget’s largest non-crypto trading segment.
Bitget Expands Beyond Crypto Trading
Bitget said the growth was supported by better liquidity and improvements to its Universal Exchange (UEX) platform, which allows users to trade different asset classes in one place.
One major development was the launch of its Cross-Asset Unified Trading Account (UTA). The account supports more than 370 eligible assets, including over 100 tokenized US stocks.
It also allows eligible tokenized stocks to be used as collateral, with valuation ratios of up to 95%. This gives traders more flexibility by allowing them to use the same margin account across different markets.
Bitget also expanded its AI-powered GetAgent Playbook to include tokenized US stocks.
Other updates included improved pricing for institutional traders and the launch of Cash Plus, a stablecoin product designed to generate returns.
Bitget CEO Gracy Chen said the changes reflect a growing trend of traders moving between cryptocurrencies, stocks, and traditional financial markets. She explained that this shift is why the company is building a Universal Exchange that supports different types of assets on one platform.
Chen added that although Bitget recorded strong growth in Q3, protecting users remains a key priority as the platform expands.
Independent Reports Recognise Bitget’s Liquidity
The report also highlighted independent research showing that Bitget has strong liquidity across crypto and tokenized stock markets.
TokenInsight ranked Bitget first among nine exchanges for Bitcoin and Ethereum futures liquidity near market prices, recording $41.6 million in liquidity.
CoinGecko also listed Bitget among the leading exchanges for Bitcoin and Ethereum spot trading liquidity.
In tokenized stocks, CryptoRank found that Bitget’s Reality platform had up to 58% lower estimated slippage on $50,000 trades compared to the next-best platform.
DeFiLlama also reported that Bitget had a median bid-ask spread of 0.83 basis points and the strongest available liquidity across five markets.
These findings highlight Bitget’s efforts to make trading easier and more efficient as it expands beyond cryptocurrencies.
Bitget Restores Protection Fund to Over $300 Million
The Q3 report also covered the security incident on September 24 and the steps Bitget took afterward.
The exchange said users’ account balances were not affected. It also brought in cybersecurity firms Mandiant and SlowMist to investigate the incident and help improve security.
By September 30, Bitget had restored its Protection Fund to more than $300 million, exceeding its initial commitment.
The exchange also introduced a circuit breaker system, completed an independent security assessment by SlowMist, and increased its security spending.
Its Proof of Reserves ratio also remained above 110% throughout the period, showing that its reported reserves exceeded user assets.
These developments came as Bitget continued building its Universal Exchange (UEX), which brings crypto, tokenized stocks, and traditional financial products together on one platform.
Its Q3 results show that growing activity across these markets helped the exchange reach $1.86 trillion in total trading volume.
