  • Traders can access gold, forex, stock indices and crude oil alongside crypto through one API.
  • The move helps professional traders automate strategies across both crypto and traditional markets.

Bitget has expanded its Open API to support CFDs, giving quantitative, algorithmic, and API traders access to global markets such as gold, forex, stock indices, and crude oil, alongside crypto.

Bitget Expands API Access Beyond Crypto

Bitget now lets API users trade CFDs on traditional markets like gold, forex, stock indices, and crude oil alongside crypto. This means traders can use one API setup instead of separate connections for crypto and CFD trading.

The expansion is part of Bitget’s Universal Exchange (UEX) strategy, which aims to bring crypto and traditional markets together on one platform.

CFD Traders Get API Access

Bitget’s CFD Open API lets traders automate their trading. They can use the API to place orders, access real-time market data, manage accounts, and transfer funds. They can also set take-profit and stop-loss orders.

This allows developers and quantitative traders to add markets like gold, forex, stock indices, and crude oil to their existing crypto trading strategies.

Bitget Targets Professional Traders

Bitget CEO Gracy Chen said that adding more markets is just one part of building a Universal Exchange. Traders also need tools that work with the systems they already use.

By adding CFD access to its API, Bitget allows developers and quantitative traders to include global markets in their existing trading strategies. The company is focusing more on professional traders who need automated trading and access to different types of assets.

For these traders, reliable API access is important for collecting market data, placing trades, and managing risk automatically.

Multiple CFD Account Types Supported

Bitget’s CFD API supports different account types. When placing an order, users need to use the correct instrument code for their account type. This lets the same API support different CFD account setups instead of creating a platform for CFD traders.

The goal is to let traders use one system to collect data, monitor markets, and automatically place trades across different asset classes, making it easier to run strategies in crypto and traditional markets.
