  • Senate delayed the CLARITY Act to prioritize Russian sanctions, leaving days before August 8 recess and triggering a 6.27% ADA drop
  • Cheeky Crypto says whale accumulation through June’s crash is the signal that precedes 800% recoveries in large-cap altcoins
  • Cardano on-chain stablecoin supply hit $55M, triple last year’s level, as USDCX integration reached a new all-time high

Cardano trades at $0.1643 on July 29, bouncing off the fair value gap after Iran denied ceasefire talks and the Senate shelved the CLARITY Act for another week, with one analyst calling current prices a generational entry and another pointing straight at the legislative clock running out.

ADA Is Bouncing From The FVG But The Triangle Has Already Failed

ADA 1D Price Action (Source: TradingView)

The daily chart shows ADA bouncing from the fair value gap between approximately $0.1450 and $0.1515 after yesterday’s 6.27% drop swept through the triangle structure that had been compressing since mid-July. The FVG that provided today’s bounce sits just above the June low near $0.1386.

The 20-day EMA at $0.1654 is the immediate ceiling above current price, followed by the 50-day at $0.1737. Below price, the 0.705 SMC level at $0.1563 and the 0.786 at $0.1513 define the next support levels if the FVG bounce fails to hold.

What Are The Key Support And Resistance Levels For ADA Today?

Resistance

  1. $0.1654 — 20-day EMA, immediate ceiling
  2. $0.1737 — 50-day EMA
  3. $0.1762 — 0.382 SMC Fibonacci level
  4. $0.1986 — 100-day EMA and CHoCH level from July recovery

Support

  2. $0.1563 — 0.705 level, next support below
  3. $0.1513 — 0.786 level and FVG upper boundary
  4. $0.1450 — FVG lower boundary and last floor before June lows

Cheeky Crypto: Selling ADA Here Could Cost You 800%

Analyst Cheeky Crypto argued in a youtube video that ADA at current prices represents an opportunity that most investors will miss because they are fixated on price action rather than on-chain fundamentals. He cited Claude AI’s analysis flagging that whale wallets accumulated through the 40% market-wide crash in June rather than selling, describing it as the kind of behavior that historically produces the sharpest percentage recoveries in large-cap altcoins once macro conditions turn. His 800% figure is derived from the gap between current price and Cardano’s previous all-time high, framing the current drawdown as the entry point rather than the exit.

He also credited Cardano’s zero-fee-on-failed-transactions model, zero downtime record, and the Leios throughput upgrade as reasons institutional infrastructure will eventually route through Cardano rather than competitors. His view is that Hoskinson’s target of a top-10 return by end of 2026 is achievable but will require some of the current top-10 altcoins to fall out of that ranking. He acknowledged that is a tall order given the competition.

LuckSide: The CLARITY Act Delay Just Wrecked The Week

Analyst LuckSide Crypto pointed directly at two catalysts behind yesterday’s 6.27% ADA drop. The first was Iran’s denial of active negotiations with the US, contradicting weekend reports of a potential ceasefire and triggering over $500M in crypto liquidations across the market. The second, which drove the late-session drop, was the Senate putting the CLARITY Act on hold to prioritize the Russian sanctions bill, pushing any vote to next week and leaving the bill with only days before the August 8 recess.

LuckSide noted that more than 30 trillion dollars in assets from BlackRock, Fidelity, Schwab, Goldman Sachs, and Franklin Templeton now back the bill, making the political delay even more frustrating for the industry. He flagged that the ADA Grayscale spot ETF application remains hung up waiting for legislative clarity, and that any further delay signals in the coming days would likely push prices lower again. His near-term focus is on the FOMC meeting conclusion on July 29 and whether the Fed holds rates steady as CPI and PPI data suggest it should.

Cardano Stablecoin Supply Tripled And A New Partnership Was Announced

On-chain stablecoin supply on Cardano grew from $18M to over $55M in the past year, a 3x expansion driven primarily by USDCX integration hitting a new all-time high. LuckSide Crypto described the figure not as a small number but as evidence of active capital flowing into the Cardano ecosystem despite the bear market sentiment.

Separately, Cardano announced a partnership with Reef Data to record cooperative payment flows, reward distributions, and member payouts on-chain. Individual cooperative members can verify their own data. LuckSide framed it as another step in the process of bringing real-world infrastructure on-chain.

ADA Price Prediction: Upside and Downside Targets

  • Upside case: The FVG holds, the FOMC confirms a rate hold on July 29, CLARITY Act momentum returns in the final days before August 8, and ADA reclaims the 20-day EMA at $0.1654 toward the 50-day at $0.1737 as Cheeky Crypto’s whale accumulation thesis begins to translate into price recovery.
  • Downside case: The FVG bounce fails, Iran tensions escalate again, the CLARITY Act stalls past the August recess, and ADA slides toward the 0.705 SMC level at $0.1563 and the 0.786 at $0.1513 as the legislative deadline drives continued risk-off sentiment through the end of the week.
