- Cardano price prediction stays bullish above $0.2278, needing $0.2562 to reopen the path toward $0.2884
- Cardano hit a new speed record of 329 transactions per second, beating its prior 304 TPS mark
- Cardano’s DeFi sits under 1% of ADA’s market cap, though $5.4 billion of ADA is staked
Cardano price prediction for October 10 stays bullish above $0.2278, the level ADA needs to hold after bouncing off the $0.2310 Fibonacci support.
Cardano Price Analysis: Can ADA Reclaim $0.26 After Today’s Bounce?
ADA trades near $0.2376, up 2.5% today, after dipping to a session low of $0.2313, right at the 0.618 Fibonacci level of $0.2310. That level and the 50-day EMA at $0.2278 just below it form a support zone that has held through today’s dip. Meanwhile, price remains under the 0.786 Fibonacci level near $0.2562, which capped last week’s rally before the reversal earlier this week.
The next hurdles sit just overhead, with the 20-day EMA at $0.2440 and the 200-day EMA at $0.2408 above current price. A daily close above both would be the first step toward reclaiming $0.2562 and then the $0.2884 May high. RSI at 49.10 sits well below its moving average at 59.98, which shows momentum has cooled since last week’s push.

ADA News: Cardano’s .ada Domain Bid Advances at ICANN
The Cardano Foundation said on Reveal Day, October 8, that its application for the .ada top-level domain has advanced to the next phase of ICANN’s New Generic Top-Level Domain Program.
The bid followed a Cardano governance vote that passed with about 75% support. If approved, .ada could allow simpler wallet addresses and domain tokenization, joining other Web3 bids such as .sol and .btc.
However, ICANN still has to evaluate the bid’s technical and financial readiness, and the Foundation expects delegations in this round between 2028 and 2030, so any real use of .ada is years away.
ADA News: Cardano’s DeFi Stays Under 1% of Market Cap Despite $5.4 Billion Staked
YouTube channel Cheeky Crypto Unfiltered found that only about $70 million sits in Cardano DeFi apps, against roughly $5.4 billion in staked ADA. That puts DeFi at under 1% of ADA’s market cap, far below Ethereum and Solana.
| Metric | Cardano | Ethereum | Solana |
| DeFi as % of market cap | 0.74% | 16.9% | 9.5% |
| Stablecoin supply | $67.33M | $146.4B (46% of cap) | $16.56B (24% of cap) |
The video explains the gap through how staking works. On Cardano, staked ADA stays in the holder’s wallet and keeps earning rewards, so holders have little reason to move it into an app. On Ethereum, staking locks the coins up, which led to a roughly $45 billion market where staked ETH is swapped for a tradeable token that can be used elsewhere.
Separately, Cardano’s DeFi pool has shrunk sharply since its December 2024 peak, down 90.2% in dollars and 53% even in ADA terms.
A low ratio is not unique to Cardano, however. The same video found that Hedera’s DeFi TVL also sits under 1% of its market cap and the XRP Ledger’s sits under 0.1%.
ADA News: Cardano Hits a New 329 TPS Record, CIP-0113 Goes Live
Meanwhile, YouTube analyst LuckSide Crypto also said Cardano reached a new record of 329 transactions per second, citing ChainSpect data, which beats the previous mark of 304 TPS set in late 2024. In addition, he said the CIP-0113 programmable token standard went live on mainnet after multiple security audits.
The standard lets issuers build KYC checks, sanctions screening and transfer limits directly into tokens such as stablecoins and tokenized bonds, and it launched without a hard fork.
Cardano Price Prediction: Can ADA Reach $0.2884 or Fall to $0.2172?
Bullish Case, Target: $0.2884
ADA holds the support zone near $0.2278 to $0.2310 and closes a day above $0.2562. That opens the recent high near $0.2790 and then the $0.2884 May high.
Bearish Case, Risk Level: $0.2172 (100-Day EMA)
ADA loses the 50-day EMA at $0.2278 and the 0.618 Fibonacci level at $0.2310. A daily close below the 100-day EMA at $0.2172 would expose the 0.5 Fibonacci level at $0.2133, a path a sharper Bitcoin pullback would fit.
FAQs: ADA Outlook for October 10, 2026
Cardano (ADA) could extend toward $0.2562 and then $0.2884 if it holds above $0.2278. A daily close below the 100-day EMA at $0.2172 would put the 0.5 Fibonacci level at $0.2133 in play.
Cardano is unlikely to reach $0.30 in the near term. ADA would need a gain of about 26% from $0.2376, and it would first have to clear $0.2562 and the $0.2884 May high.
Cardano could fall below $0.20 if it loses the support zone near $0.2278 to $0.2310. That would be a drop of about 16% from $0.2376, putting the 0.5 Fibonacci level at $0.2133 within reach.
Not necessarily. Cheeky Crypto Unfiltered found that Hedera’s DeFi TVL also sits under 1% of its market cap and the XRP Ledger’s sits under 0.1%, so a low ratio isn’t unique to Cardano. He said the bigger weakness is Cardano’s TVL falling 53% in ADA terms since December 2024 and its stablecoin supply staying under 1% of market cap.
