  • Cardano’s stablecoin supply reached a record near $67 million, up from under $40 million in February
  • The earliest SEC window for a spot Cardano ETF decision falls around October 23, per Bitcoin Strategy

Cardano price prediction for October 8 is bullish above $0.2461, with $0.28 the level ADA needs to clear after Tuesday’s spike faded.

Cardano Price Analysis: Can ADA Hold $0.2560?

ADA trades near $0.2567, down 4% today after Tuesday’s spike to about $0.282 faded. Price sits on the 0.786 Fibonacci retracement of the May to June drop at $0.2560, which also lines up with the upper edge of the small triangle ADA broke out of earlier this week, so today’s dip is a retest of that breakout from above. With today’s candle still open, a daily close above $0.2560 would show buyers defending the line, and a close above $0.28, where Tuesday’s spike stopped, would open the $0.2882 May high.

Support below price is stacked closely, with the 20-day EMA at $0.2461 and the 200-day EMA at $0.2409 sitting near each other, and the 0.618 Fibonacci level at $0.2308 and the 50-day EMA at $0.2272 further down. RSI at 59.31 is well under 70, which leaves room for another push before the rally looks stretched.

ADA News: Spot Buying Drove the Rally

YouTube channel Bitcoin Strategy said ADA’s climb to about $0.27, its highest price since May, came with roughly $1 billion in spot trading over 24 hours, about double the previous week’s level. Futures open interest also rose, but only about 15% to roughly $600 million, so leverage played a smaller role than buying in the spot market. The host gave two reasons he does not see a short squeeze:

  • Binance’s funding rate, the fee traders pay to hold bets on a rise, stayed at a normal level
  • Only about $2 million in short positions were liquidated, too little in his view to call a squeeze

On the news side, he said September’s headlines drew attention without adding demand on their own. The Cardano Foundation joined Mastercard’s crypto partner program, but Mastercard did not say it would settle on ADA. Likewise, the Petrobras pilots are still research.

ADA News: Stablecoin Supply Hits a Record

Cardano’s stablecoin supply reached an all-time high of about $67 million, according to the same channel, with most of the growth coming in the last four months after Circle brought its dollar token to the chain in late February. However, other network figures from the video point the opposite way:

  • Stablecoin supply: about $67 million, up from under $40 million before Circle arrived
  • Money locked in Cardano apps: about $70 million, down from about $360 million a year ago, and roughly 40% lower even when measured in ADA
  • Network fees in September: about $50,000

Based on those numbers, the host concluded that app usage is not what is lifting the price. The video does not name a source for these figures, so readers should treat them as unverified.

ADA News: Earliest ETF Decision Date Is October 23

The earliest window for an SEC decision on a spot Cardano ETF falls around October 23, the channel said, although the SEC could delay and the host would not bet on that date with leverage. In addition, at least four other issuers have open filings, including Bitwise and VanEck.

Separately, T. Rowe Price added ADA to its active crypto ETF, though the position was only about $80,000 when it was added. Because the host sells a paid membership that shares his trades, his hold-and-wait view comes from an interested party.

ADA News: LuckSide Watches $0.28 and the 50-Week Average

Meanwhile crypto analyst LuckSide Crypto on its youtube channel said ADA hit his first price target on Tuesday when the daily candle ran to $0.28, a level he calls focal resistance. However, he warned that failing to clear it decisively would make his next target near $0.35 harder to reach and could bring a pullback toward the 20-day average. He added two more points:

  • ADA is pressing against its 50-week average, which he said usually signals something exciting when it breaks coming out of a bear market
  • ADA is rising on its own while Bitcoin trades sideways

Looking ahead, he pointed to RealFi’s October 1 launch and this week’s Token2049 conference as ecosystem catalysts, though he said none of it is guaranteed.

Cardano Price Prediction: Bullish and Bearish Scenarios

Bullish Case, Target: $0.2882

ADA holds $0.2560 and the 20-day EMA at $0.2461, then closes a day above $0.28, where Tuesday’s spike stopped. That would open the $0.2882 May high, and spot buying holding up without a jump in leverage would support the move.

Bearish Case, Risk Level: $0.2409 (200-Day EMA)

ADA slips below $0.2560 and loses the 20-day EMA at $0.2461, which puts the 200-day EMA at $0.2409 under pressure. A daily close below it would expose the 0.618 Fibonacci level at $0.2308, and a Bitcoin pullback or a delay to the ETF decision would fit that path.

FAQs

What is the Cardano price prediction for October 8, 2026?

ADA could extend toward $0.28 and then $0.2882 if it holds above $0.2461 and closes above $0.28. Losing $0.2560 and the 20-day EMA at $0.2461 risks a slide toward the 200-day EMA at $0.2409.

Will Cardano reach $0.30?

A move to $0.30 would need a gain of about 17% from $0.2567 and a clean break above the $0.2882 May high and the $0.2950 level. A move to $1 would need roughly 290%, and nothing on the current chart points to it.

Could Cardano fall below $0.24?

It could if ADA loses $0.2560 and the 20-day EMA at $0.2461. A drop to $0.24 is about 6.5% from the current price, and the 200-day EMA at $0.2409 sits right at that level.

Will a spot Cardano ETF be approved in October?

Approval in October is uncertain, because the earliest window for an SEC decision falls around October 23, according to Bitcoin Strategy, and the SEC could delay it. At least four other issuers also have filings open, including Bitwise and VanEck.
