- Crypto influencer Ashley Prosper believes that the XRP community is facing a coordinated attack.
- The influencer cited the lack of mainstream media coverage and the ongoing FUD to make her case.
- Meanwhile, XRP has lost nearly 17% of its value over the past four weeks.
Ashley Prosper, a popular crypto influencer among the XRP community, took to X (formerly Twitter) earlier today to allege the mounting of a coordinated attack against the XRP community. The influencer told her followers that the XRP community had been subjected to unfair treatment at the hands of mainstream media and regulators over the past three years.
According to Prosper, the lack of coverage from mainstream media following the summary judgment in the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) vs. Ripple case was proof of the coordinated attack. Despite being one of the biggest and most high-profile news stories in the crypto industry over the past three years, the summary judgment, which handed a partial victory to Ripple, was not widely covered.
The crypto influencer also cited the synchronized and constant fear, uncertainty, and doubt (FUD) that has been peddled against XRP and Ripple over the past three years. FUD has played a considerable role in spreading misinformation and preventing further adoption of XRP. Meanwhile, XRP has lost nearly 17% of its value over the past four weeks.
Prosper also highlighted private entities like JPMorgan discussing XRP with the SEC. JPMorgan is releasing a blockchain-based token for faster cross-border deposits that is reportedly in close competition with XRP.
According to Prosper, several prominent XRP community members and influencers have had their social media accounts hacked, which suggests a coordinated attack on the XRP community. Prosper further added that the XRP community had also been labeled aggressive by the SEC, with others resorting to titles like conspiracy theorists.
Lastly, the SEC’s enforcement action against Ripple has ended up harming XRP and the broader Ripple ecosystem, as the crypto influencer pointed out that the ongoing lawsuit has resulted in the loss of billions of dollars.
