Canada-based crypto Twitter influencer Crypto King called out the Cardano founder, Charles Hoskinson for spreading false settlement rumors about the two-year-long lawsuit between Ripple and the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

On December 16, Crypto King tweeted a thread saying “the #Ripple $XRP lawsuit ended, here are the results.” He then accused Hoskinson for lying to the crypto community. Crypto King then questions the Cardano founder about the source of the XRP rumor.

Hoskinson went live on YouTube on December 10 to discuss the US SEC’s case against Ripple Labs, bodly commenting that the legal dispute will end on December 15. Furthermore, he shared that the final verdict will have “catastrophic implications” for the cryptocurrency industry.

However, the ADA community didn’t appreciate Crypto King publicly accusing Hoskinson of lying, with many comments trolling the Twitter influencer for being “attention-seeking.” In response, he added another reply to the thread clarifying that he is not hating on Hoskinson but is genuinely curious where he heard the rumor.

Crypto King, who has 68.1k followers on the social media platform, quickly caught the eyes of Hoskinson. The Cardano Founder replied to the tweet saying,

And this is why social media is terrible for communication. Crypto King knows he is lying. He doesn’t care. There will be a pile-on of tweets and articles parroting the same lie. No consequences. Begin tomorrow.

Crypto King again followed up with the same question, asking Hoskinson where he heard the Ripple settlement rumor. He further added that many people look up to the crypto industry leader and him spreading false rumors appears unprofessional for someone of his stature, concluding the conversation with “no hate.”
