Amjad Taha Criticizes Trump’s Iran Deal, Warns of Fallout for US Allies

Political commentator Amjad Taha castigated President Donald Trump’s Iran deal. “He says the deal could undermine trust between the U.S. and its closest Middle Eastern allies.

In a series of posts on X, Taha called the deal the “worst deal ever.” He said it leaves Israel vulnerable while it prioritizes negotiations with Iran. He says the attempt to get Israel to scale back military action against Hezbollah to secure a broader deal sends the wrong signal to allies in the region.

Taha warned that loyalty is essential in Middle Eastern diplomacy. He warned that if Washington seems ready to pursue agreements that are not in line with their security needs, allies could start to question US security guarantees.

His comments come as tensions mount over the US-Iran ceasefire framework, which has faced opposition from some Israeli officials and analysts. Despite attempts to ease hostilities and stabilize the region, fighting between Israel and Hezbollah persists. Recent clashes in southern Lebanon have further fueled the debate on the long-term durability of the deal.

The criticism reflects broader concerns among some regional observers that the deal could reshape alliances, security dynamics and diplomatic relations in the future across the Middle East as talks continue.
