Bubblemaps alleged on October 14 that five wallets linked to Pump.fun caller Anglio bought tokens before his recommendations were published. The blockchain analytics firm estimated that the wallets generated $130,000 from trading profits and callout rewards.

An analysis of 534 recommendations over two weeks found that the wallets bought tokens before 61% of Anglio’s calls, averaging 20 seconds before publication. However, Bubblemaps said it could not independently verify who controlled the wallets.

Wallets Sold After Public Calls

Bubblemaps said the five wallets began selling tokens about four minutes after Anglio published his recommendations. The firm attributed $50,000 of the estimated gains to trading profits and $80,000 to callout rewards.

The analysis also identified a pattern involving Anglio’s public wallet and the five suspected side wallets. However, the wallet links do not establish who controlled the accounts or confirm intentional insider trading.

Pump.fun Revises Caller Rewards

Pump.fun previously rewarded callers based on the trading volume their recommendations generated. On October 10, co-founder Alon announced changes that place greater emphasis on followers’ profits.

Alon said the changes would reduce the importance of trading volume. He also acknowledged that lower payouts for low-cap tokens could disadvantage callers whose early recommendations succeeded.

Previously distributed rewards will remain unchanged. Alon said Pump.fun could not reclaim past payouts, even if they were later deemed unjustified.

Bubblemaps clarified that its $130,000 estimate covered only the five wallets, not Anglio’s overall trading performance.
