Grayscale has introduced an in-kind investing service that lets eligible investors exchange digital assets directly for shares in its investment products. The move offers crypto holders another way to gain exposure through traditional financial markets without first converting their holdings into cash.

The service covers 10 products linked to Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XRP, Dogecoin, and other cryptocurrencies. Grayscale aims to simplify portfolio management while potentially reducing trading costs and the challenges of securing digital assets independently.

New Service Targets Lower Costs and Easier Portfolio Management

The service allows eligible investors to contribute supported cryptocurrencies in exchange for shares. Consequently, investors can access traditional investment structures without managing every aspect of personal crypto custody.

Additionally, the approach could simplify estate planning and asset transfers. Investors may also access certain tax-advantaged accounts, traditional lending markets, and listed options, depending on eligibility and product rules. However, investors should review the applicable fees, tax implications, and eligibility requirements before participating.

Ten Products Expand Access to Crypto Investments

Grayscale’s offering spans products tied to Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Avalanche, Chainlink, Dogecoin, Hyperliquid, Sui, XRP, and Zcash. The lineup includes its Bitcoin Mini Trust ETF, Ethereum Staking Mini ETF, Solana Staking ETF, and XRP Trust ETF. Moreover, products linked to Avalanche, Chainlink, Dogecoin, Hyperliquid, Sui, and Zcash broaden the available choices.
