Polymarket has suspended new trading on its international platform after a third-party provider suffered a security breach. The prediction market operator said it had fixed the issue and would compensate affected users.

However, reports of unauthorized withdrawals have raised concerns about the safety of user funds. The company also referred the incident to law enforcement while working to restore normal operations.

Polymarket Restricts Trading Amid Investigation

Polymarket’s status page shows that the platform allows order cancellations but blocks new trades. Additionally, the company paused relayer actions while investigating the incident. The affected services include Predictions and the Predictions Trading API.

The platform has not identified the compromised provider or disclosed the attack method. It also has not published an official estimate of potential losses.

Users Report Suspicious Wallet Activity

Jeremy, an X user, alleged that attackers compromised Polymarket’s frontend. He shared an image showing a wallet message-signing request associated with the platform’s domain. The image displayed an unverified indicator but did not prove that a transaction occurred.

Meanwhile, StarPlatinum reported suspicious withdrawals through Polymarket’s deposit-wallet infrastructure. The account claimed that a recipient wallet accumulated $2.68 million by 18:05 UTC on October 29.

Moreover, StarPlatinum alleged that the recipient accumulated 28.6 million POL through user deposit balances. However, the account acknowledged that investigators had not officially confirmed a frontend compromise.
