Standard Asset Company (SAC) has opened its headquarters in Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) to advance a planned $1.5 billion investment strategy combining Bitcoin holdings and UAE real estate acquisitions. The move positions the company to connect digital asset management with traditional property investments while strengthening commercial ties between the United States and the UAE.

Coinbase to Manage Bitcoin Holdings

SAC has appointed Coinbase Asset Management as the exclusive manager of its Bitcoin portfolio. The firm aims to apply institutional investment practices to its digital asset holdings and support its broader investment objectives.

Additionally, Coinbase Institutional Co-CEO Brett Tejpaul highlighted the UAE’s growing role in global digital asset adoption. Coinbase’s involvement could help SAC establish a structured approach to Bitcoin management as it pursues its expansion plans.

UAE Real Estate Complements Digital Assets

SAC plans to combine its Bitcoin reserve with acquisitions of prominent real estate assets across the Emirates. Consequently, the strategy seeks to bridge digital investments and tangible assets within one portfolio.

Founded by Sakhib Waseem, Adam Ali, and Mason Borda, SAC draws on a team with experience advising on more than $7 billion in transactions. Besides, its founders have facilitated over $1 billion in digital asset offerings.

The company views the UAE’s regulatory environment and investment ambitions as key advantages. Hence, its Abu Dhabi base could support future growth across digital finance, hospitality, and real estate.
