  • CryptoQuant CEO says fresh capital inflows into Bitcoin are a pattern seen only during bull markets.
  • Bitcoin whale holdings reached 3.03M BTC, marking the top accumulation since Nov 2025.
  • U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs reversed early-2026 losses, recording approximately 2,300 BTC in net inflows for the year.

CryptoQuant CEO Ki Young Ju says fresh capital is flowing into Bitcoin, stating that this pattern occurs only during bull markets. His comments came on October 21, at a time when Bitcoin was trading around $83,500.

Ju’s remarks feed into rising hopes that Bitcoin’s rebound could keep going, backed by fresh institutional demand and big holders adding to their positions. However, investors still need to determine whether these inflows represent a sustained shift in the market.

CryptoQuant’s October 13 research adds more context. The analytics platform says large Bitcoin holders are back to accumulating, with whale wallets now holding about 3.03 million BTC, the most since November 2025.

Additionally, institutional investors are starting to return to the market.

According to the report, US spot Bitcoin ETFs turned around from heavy early-2026 losses to post about 2,300 BTC in net positive inflows for the year. This shift signals that institutional demand is picking back up after a tough start.

These developments are important because steady buying from crypto whales and ETF investors can soak up selling pressure, which helps keep prices steady or push higher.

However, these factors don’t guarantee that prices will keep rising, especially if investors decide to lock in their gains or if the overall financial market takes a turn for the worse.

What Comes Next for Bitcoin?

Ju has said before that Bitcoin might be entering a new bull phase, though he expects tamer returns than in past cycles. In early October, he pointed to institutional liquidity and on-chain investor behavior as key signals for where the market is headed.

Then, last week, CryptoQuant’s CEO stated that Bitcoin’s bear cycle was over. Based on PnL Index signals, he predicted 12 to 24 months of either rising or sideways prices.

For now, his latest comments back up the bullish argument, but whether it holds depends on fresh capital continuing to flow in. A lasting price recovery would most likely be backed by three main factors: steady investments flowing into crypto ETFs, heavy buying by major investors, and higher trading volume on regular crypto exchanges.
