  • Decentral Games will launch its Sit-n-Go Tournament Mode.
  • This mode will add a fast-paced, 6-player, single-elimination tournament.
  • Also, the entry requirements are less compared to the standard challenge mode.

Play-and-earn metaverse gaming platform Decentral Games will encompass a new mode to its popular ICE Poker game — Sit-n-Go (SNG) Tournament. This includes a fast-paced, single-elimination tournament where players compete for ICE wearables and token rewards in ICE and xDG, read the press release sent to CE.

Speaking of the Sit-n-Go, Matthew Howells-Barby, CMO at Decentral Games said that many of the members of their gaming community are priced out by the regular wearables. So, the Decentral Games team decided to create SNG.

We wanted to create a fast-paced ‘entry-level’ circuit of tournament, which is why we developed Sit-n-Go. Thanks to the blinds and the ability to play on mobile, it’s guaranteed to be fast-paced and action-packed. Players can refine their craft and eventually accumulate enough to obtain the coveted All-Access Wearable

ICE Poker SNG is a six-player poker game with mandatory 10/20 chips blinds, which double every 4 minutes. Blinds are a mandatory bet for all players, designed to keep the tournament fast-paced. Each game is expected to last about 45 minutes.

The winners of each game will win Tournament Badges, which can be redeemed for wearables, ICE accessories, ICE, and xDG tokens. Meanwhile, the players in second place will receive a refund for the “Shine” they spent to join the tournament.

The wearable and Shine system of the platform is used to join each tournament. Players must purchase either a Tournament, Flex, or All Access wearables.

To note, Tournament Wearables can only be used within SNG tournament, whereas, Flex Wearables can be used on the ICE Poker Flex App.  All Access Wearables can be used on both Decentraland and Flex App.

Talking about the entry to SNG, the requirements are much lower than on the standard challenge mode. This feature allows skilled players to begin playing with a Tournament Wearable, without major capital. Also, with the requirements, players can start “to prove their worth and graduate to Flex or the All Access Wearable.”

Additionally, the team behind Decentral Games details the advantages of its Tournament Mode on the game metaverse. The platform will allow highly skilled gamers to utilize the mode so as to own wearables. Also, it will provide more utility and organic demand for the ICE token and burning of the tokens.
