Eric Trump denied reports that his father, President Donald Trump, is planning to launch another cryptocurrency, calling the claims “absolutely not true” and warning that promoters were committing fraud.
His comments came after an X post by @WhaleScan claimed Trump was preparing to issue another token. The post did not provide a token name, company details or regulatory filing to support the claim.
Trump Crypto Rumor Draws Attention
The speculation follows the launches of the $TRUMP and $MELANIA tokens. Eric Trump is also associated with World Liberty Financial, which launched in 2024, while the family has ties to American Bitcoin.

The latest claim highlights the risks surrounding unverified Trump-branded crypto projects. Without an official announcement, investors could mistake social media speculation for a legitimate token launch.
Trump-Linked Crypto Dispute
The denial comes as Tron founder Justin Sun remains in a dispute with World Liberty Financial over about $45 million and roughly 4 billion frozen tokens, according to Sun.
Sun has described the dispute as a broader issue of crypto ownership and control. He argues that users should be able to hold and control their assets without needing permission from another party.
