The cryptocurrency market intelligence platform Messari revealed in a tweet yesterday that Optimism (OP), Hedera (HBAR), and Solana (SOL) were the three best smart contract gainers against Ethereum (ETH) over the past month. According to the post, OP was the top performer in this regard and gained 42% against the leading altcoin.
HBAR was the next best smart contract gainer against ETH for the month and outperformed ETH by 28% during this period. Lastly, SOL strengthened 9% against the largest altcoin in terms of market cap.
In terms of price, OP was changing hands at $1.72 at press time, according to CoinMarketCap. This was after the cryptocurrency saw its price drop 0.28% over the past day of trading. On the other hand, HBAR and SOL both printed gains during this same period.
HBAR recorded the biggest 24-hour gain of the three and was up more than 6%. Subsequently, HBAR’s price stood at $0.05839 at press time. It had retraced somewhat from its 24-hour high of $0.06032. Nevertheless, the altcoin’s price was still trading closer to its daily high than its daily low of $0.05483.
SOL saw its price rise 0.90% throughout the past day of trading. As a result, the Ethereum-killer was changing hands at $23.36. This positive daily price movement was not enough to bring SOL’s weekly performance out of the red zone, however, as the cryptocurrency’s price was down 1.38% for the week.
Meanwhile, ETH suffered a slight 0.16% loss in the past 24 hours. This resulted in the altcoin king’s price standing at $1,828.02 at press time. Furthermore, its weekly performance was in the red zone as well, as CoinMarketCap indicated that ETH’s price had slipped 0.32% during the past 7 days.
