- KuCoin’s daily equity perpetuals trading volume grew by more than 100% in Q3 2026.
- Its daily spot trading volume rose 47.1%, outpacing market growth of 29.7%.
- KuCoin’s derivatives volume reached $167 billion, with daily volume rising 60.6%.
KuCoin’s daily equity perpetuals trading volume grew by more than 100% between July 1 and September 30, 2026, as the exchange expanded trading in products linked to traditional financial assets. Its spot trading volume also recovered, rising 47.1% over the same period, according to TokenInsight’s Q3 2026 Crypto Exchange Report.
The report found that equity perpetuals linked to individual stocks, exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and indices were a major part of the growing market for traditional finance (TradFi) derivatives. These products recorded $1.61 trillion in trading volume during Q3, accounting for 77% of the $2.1 trillion total across the TradFi perpetuals covered by the report. KuCoin’s more than twofold increase in daily equity perpetuals volume reflects increased trading activity in these products on the platform.
KuCoin Spot Trading Volume Rises 47.1%
KuCoin’s spot trading activity also improved during Q3. Its daily spot trading volume on September 30 was 47.1% higher than on July 1, making it the second-fastest-growing exchange in the report’s comparison.
Across the market, daily spot trading volume rose 29.7%, from $24.2 billion on July 1 to $31.5 billion on September 30. KuCoin’s growth outpaced the overall market.
For the full quarter, KuCoin recorded $106 billion in spot trading volume. This recovery came despite a decline in total trading volume across the market during the quarter.

Derivatives Trading Drives KuCoin’s Growth
KuCoin’s growth extended beyond equity perpetuals. The exchange recorded about $167 billion in derivatives trading volume in Q3, while its daily derivatives volume rose 60.6% between July 1 and September 30, the fastest growth among exchanges in the report’s comparison.
Derivatives accounted for 61% of KuCoin’s trading volume in Q3, up 16 percentage points from the previous quarter. Across the wider market, derivatives made up 83% of trading volume, while spot trading accounted for 17%.
TradFi perpetuals contributed 3.58% of KuCoin’s total derivatives volume, showing that products linked to traditional financial assets still made up a small share of its overall activity.

TokenInsight also reported that the number of listed TradFi contracts across the exchanges it covered nearly doubled in Q3. However, it noted that expanded coverage of equity perpetuals in July may have affected comparisons with the previous quarter.
Overall, KuCoin recorded growth in both spot and derivatives trading, alongside a sharp rise in equity perpetuals activity as crypto exchanges expand into traditional financial markets.
