- CYBERLEEK and JOFF memecoins lead the Solana- and Hyperliquid-based tokens’ rally.
- Surging over 30,000% in one week places CYBERLEEK among the best-performing cryptos.
- Memecoin speculation is no longer concentrated exclusively on Solana and Base.
Last week’s crypto market rally, which saw Bitcoin and other top digital assets surge significantly, extended to memecoins. Typical of the digital asset class, some tokens experienced unusual rallies and produced outstanding gains.
During the period under review, decentralized exchange (DEX) activity accelerated rapidly, with daily trading volume rising from $3.3 billion to a peak of $12.9 billion, according to CryptoRank data.
As mentioned above, surging memcoin demand contributed to the massive rise in DEX trading volumes, with tokens in the Solana and Hyperliquid ecosystems featuring prominently among the most traded digital assets.
CYBERLEEK’s Outstanding Performance
CYBERLEEK, a Solana-based memecoin, became one of the most outstanding weekly performers, producing a rally that mirrors the historical crypto price movements of the early memecoin days. CoinMarketCap data reveals that despite a 45% pullback in the past two days, the memecoin maintained an almost 30,000% weekly gain as of the time of writing.
It is crucial to note that CYBERLEEK benefited from its link to the hyper-volatile Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) leak lifecycle, rather than from macro-financial inflows. The memecoin surged on August 23 after the leaker, an anonymous group or individual behind the August 2026 Grand Theft Auto VI gameplay leaks, posted a highly detailed 11th gameplay clip showing the game’s physics engine.
The memecoin experienced an immediate pullback after reaching an all-time high of $0.031, failing to trigger a sustained wave of new buyers. This allowed early automated trading wallets to begin dumping their tokens. Hence, the 45% price consolidation mentioned above and the speculative outlook of a typical memecoin with high volatility and an unpredictable lifespan.
JOFF’s Boom-and-Burst Cycle
Chomolon Joff (JOFF), a community-driven memecoin tied to the Hyperliquid ecosystem culture, also performed impressively over the past week. Despite not returning CYBERLEEK’s kind of numbers, the cryptocurrency surged $2,332% in just a few days to reach an all-time high of $0.031, according to CoinMarketCap data.
Similar to CYBERLEEK’s trend, JOFF surged explosively over the past week before correcting immediately. The memecoin’s rally was driven by hyper-speculation within the Hyperliquid network. The correction that followed has seen JOFF retrace by approximately 60%, trading at $0.012 at the time of writing.
JOFF’s extreme “boom-and-burst” cycle is standard behavior for low-cap ecosystem assets, particularly memecoins, which move strictly on social momentum rather than financial fundamentals. The price spike is not restricted to JOFF and CYBERLEEK or to Solana and Hyperliquid ecosystem assets.
A New Memecoin Narrative
Other memecoins within these networks and those from other cryptocurrency ecosystems experienced similar trends, surging significantly to record notable gains. WEN, CATE, NPC, TRUMP, PONKE, and USELESS comprise memecoins in the Solana ecosystem that returned significant gains over the past week.
Besides JOFF, Hyperliquid-based memecoins with notable returns in the past week include JEFF, BUDDY, PIP, PURR, and ATEHUN. Meanwhile, other networks, such as Base and Robinhood, saw their memecoins deliver impressive bullish performances with outstanding returns.
The latest trend serves as a reminder to the broader crypto community that the memecoin era remains very much in existence. It also reveals that memecoin speculation is no longer concentrated exclusively on Solana and Base. Instead of a single market-wide memecoin season, the trend suggests liquidity is increasingly rotating among smaller ecosystem-specific narratives.
