According to a recent blog post on Avalanche’s Medium page, OpenBlox, which is an EVM-based NFT gaming platform, will be integrating both its present games and its prospective games into the Avalanche ecosystem.

These games, when combined, make up what is known as the Bloxverse, which is a community on Web3 that is held together by a shared development team, token, and in-game aspects that will span and link many games. The only game that OpenBlox has released so far is called RunBlox, but the developer has three other games in the works.

According to Avalanche, OpenBlox’s mission is to create games that bridge the gap between the digital and real worlds and bring players closer together. OpenBlox has it in their future plans to roll out a Subnet. Moreover, OpenBlox has received an investment of strategic importance from the Blizzard Avalanche Fund.

OpenBlox’s Chief Communication Officer, Sunil Chauhan, expressed his delight at the partnership stating:

Having backers at Ava Labs that understand scalability and user experience in all market conditions is fundamental to our growth.

“We are excited to welcome OpenBlox to the Avalanche ecosystem,” said Lydia Chiu, VP of Business Development at Ava Labs, on behalf of Blizzard, adding, “I believe that supporting the OpenBlox universe will be a showcase of what Avalanche can do, and that OpenBlox will bring a crop of new gamers to the Avalanche network.”

OpenBlox is designed as a digital playground stocked with fun activities and interesting locations. Reportedly, the goal of the project is to provide GameFi fans a chance to play many games at once. This EVM-based virtual game universe presently works on Ethereum and Arbitrium and supports all EVM chains.
