- Dogecoin’s 365-day MVRV fell to 0.74, while XRP’s stood at 0.92, indicating average holder losses.
- Santiment identified Dogecoin as a major potential buying opportunity and XRP as a possible opportunity.
- Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Chainlink remained near breakeven, with MVRV readings of 1.02, 0.97, and 1.04.
Dogecoin and XRP are showing greater average losses among recent buyers than several other large-cap cryptocurrencies, according to Santiment’s 365-day Market Value to Realized Value (MVRV) data. The analytics firm identifies Dogecoin as a major potential buying opportunity and XRP as a possible opportunity as average holder profits come under pressure.
The readings place both tokens below the 1.00 breakeven level, while Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Chainlink remain closer to or slightly above it. A reading of 1.00 means the typical buyer is at breakeven. The firm’s chart, posted Wednesday, showed:
- Dogecoin: about 0.74, the lowest of the group, meaning recent buyers are deeply underwater on average
- XRP: about 0.92, also in net loss and below the chart’s marked buy-zone line
- Ethereum: about 0.97
- Bitcoin: about 1.02
- Chainlink: about 1.04

Santiment Identifies Dogecoin and XRP as Potential Buying Opportunities
Santiment said Bitcoin, Ether, and Chainlink are near breakeven, with no sign of heavy profit-taking risk or deep capitulation. It labelled Dogecoin a major opportunity and XRP a decent one that may arrive soon, with traders’ average dollar profits under pressure.
Dogecoin has the lowest MVRV reading among the assets shown, making it the clearest outlier. XRP is closer to the chart’s marked buy-zone threshold, which Santiment describes as a “decent buy opportunity.”
What Low MVRV Means for Dogecoin and XRP
In general, high MVRV readings can signal greater unrealized profits and potential profit-taking, while low readings may indicate reduced selling pressure. However, neither condition guarantees a particular price movement.
Santiment’s data puts Dogecoin and XRP among the large-cap tokens whose recent buyers are facing the greatest average losses. While the firm views these conditions as potential buying opportunities, the MVRV readings alone cannot confirm that prices have reached a bottom. Traders will need to watch whether selling pressure eases and demand strengthens before concluding that either token is positioned for a sustained recovery.
