Investors in crypto ventures linked to President Donald Trump and his family are facing at least $4.7 billion in losses, according to reports, while Trump reported at least $1.4 billion in crypto-related income for 2025.

The TRUMP memecoin accounts for the biggest share, with investors estimated to be about $3.2 billion underwater. About 1.6 million Solana wallets that bought the token are holding unrealized losses, meaning they have not necessarily sold their holdings.

Trump Crypto Losses Grow

Investors have also lost about $1 billion on World Liberty Financial’s WLFI token, according to reports, while Trump Media & Technology Group’s Bitcoin holdings showed roughly $450 million in unrealized losses.

The losses come as the Trump family expands its crypto business. World Liberty Financial is moving ahead with a planned crypto bank, backed in part by foreign investors. A group linked to Abu Dhabi Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan has committed about $500 million and is set to hold a 49% stake in the bank’s holding company, according to reports.

Lawmakers Raise Conflict Concerns

The foreign investment has drawn scrutiny from Democratic lawmakers over potential conflicts of interest. Senator Elizabeth Warren called the bank approval “self-dealing.”

Senator Adam Schiff has also introduced the COIN Act, which would restrict presidents, senior government officials and their families from issuing or promoting certain digital assets.
