  • Worldcoin price prediction stays bullish above $0.51, with $0.58 the first hurdle toward $0.60
  • World launched World ID for banking and finance on October 18, with VanEck among its design partners
  • WLD shorts lost $1.08M of the $1.70M liquidated over 24 hours as open interest rose 16.82%

Worldcoin price prediction for this week stays bullish above $0.51, the support WLD needs to hold to keep a move toward $0.60 in play.

Worldcoin Price Analysis: Can WLD Break Out of Its Triangle This Week?

WLD can break out of its triangle only with a daily close above the Parabolic SAR at $0.58 and the falling trendline near $0.60, and price at $0.54, up 1.61% today, is still short of both. The triangle has narrowed since the June high, with a rising line from the early-August low underneath and the falling line overhead.

Buyers still hold the structure, with price above all four daily EMAs, from the 20-day at $0.51 down to the 100-day and 200-day, which both sit near $0.44. The SAR above price means the short-term trend has not flipped up by that measure yet.

WLD looks more likely to test $0.58 than to lose $0.51 this week, and a daily close above $0.60 would break the triangle to the upside.

The suite is meant to help banks and financial firms confirm that a real person, not a deepfake or an AI agent, is behind a transaction, customer request or video call. Bain Capital, OpenExchange, Outtake, Pantera Capital and VanEck Funds are the initial design partners.

The suite has three parts:

  • World ID app: Offers three cryptographic proofs, which cover being a unique human through a one-time visit to an Orb device, being present through a phone selfie, and holding attributes such as age or nationality from a government ID.
  • World ID for Agents: Through AgentKit, which is in beta, a person can delegate a proof to an AI agent so it can act for them and show it represents a real human.
  • World ID for Zoom: Adds a Human Badge to a participant’s tile after a live selfie matches their Orb-verified identity.

World pointed to a Deloitte forecast that AI-enabled fraud losses in the US could reach $40 billion by 2027, up from $12.3 billion in 2023, as the case for the product.

Critics Question How World Built Its Biometric Database

A report on the launch says critics are questioning how World assembled its database, which World says covers more than 18 million verified humans. It cites a 2022 MIT Technology Review investigation that found people in countries including Kenya and Indonesia received crypto, cash or gifts to sign up.

The report also says Kenya’s High Court ruled that World’s operations violated data protection law, with an order to delete data on more than 350,000 citizens, and that Chile’s Supreme Court also ruled against it.

Worldcoin Derivatives: Open Interest Jumps as Shorts Take Most of the Losses

WLD derivatives volume jumped 68.04% to $1.18 billion, while open interest, the total value of open contracts, rose 16.82% to $559.93 million. More trading alongside more open positions usually means fresh money is entering rather than traders closing out.

Short sellers absorbed most of the damage. Liquidations, the forced closing of leveraged trades, cost shorts $1.08 million of the $1.70 million total over 24 hours. Most traders still lean long, with Binance showing 1.62 long accounts for every short.

Worldcoin Price Prediction: Bullish and Bearish Scenarios for This Week

Bullish Case, Target: $0.60

WLD holds above $0.51, closes above the Parabolic SAR at $0.58 and presses the falling triangle line near $0.60. A daily close through that line would open the early-October high near $0.62. Continued short liquidations alongside rising open interest would fit this path.

Bearish Case, Risk Level: $0.48 (50-Day EMA)

WLD loses the 20-day EMA at $0.51 and slides toward the 50-day at $0.48. A close below that level would put the 100-day and 200-day EMAs near $0.44 in play.

FAQs
