XRP Payment Giant Ripple Appoints New Chief Financial Officer

  • Ripple has promoted Jon Bilich to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) position.
  • Bilich was Ripple’s VP for Financial Planning and Analysis for over three years.

Ripple, the American payment giant renowned for leveraging XRP for cross-border payment services, has made pivotal shifts in its leadership position. In a recent official statement, Ripple disclosed appointing two new persons to the firm’s executive team. 

In particular, Ripple has promoted Jon Bilich to the position of its Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Until his recent promotion, Bilich was Ripple’s Vice President for Financial Planning and Analysis. Bilich held this position for three years and four months after being promoted from a senior director role, through which he joined the payment firm in 2016.

In his new capacity as Ripple’s CFO, Bilich is responsible for ensuring the company remains aligned with its financial and business objectives globally.

In addition, Ripple has elevated Mariel Kelley, previously the VP of People and Places, to Senior Vice President. Ripple highlighted her unwavering dedication to company culture and values. Per the disclosure, Kelley’s effort played a pivotal role in facilitating Ripple’s global expansion through strategic hires and office establishments.

Responding to the recent promotions, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse expressed his admiration for Jon Bilich and Mariel Kelley. He stated that they have not only made significant contributions during their time at Ripple but have also set a new standard for embodying Ripple’s values. Garlinghouse added that he is extremely proud to welcome them to the executive team.

“They’re raising the talent bar at Ripple, both in what it means to be a leader and also what it means to be a Rippler,” Garlinghouse remarked.

Ripple views the promotions of Bilich and Kelley as symbolic of the company’s commitment to nurturing exceptional talent and fostering emerging leaders. The firm has over 900 employees and 15 offices spanning the globe.
