- Bitget, Reality, and Aurelion launch rAURE, a token backed 1:1 by AURE shares in custody.
- Eligible users will be able to trade rAURE 24/7 on Bitget after launch.
- rAURE offers exposure to Aurelion’s gold-focused treasury strategy, not direct gold ownership.
Bitget, Reality, and gold treasury company Aurelion Inc. (NASDAQ: AURE) are partnering to launch rAURE, a token to represent AURE shares backed 1:1 by shares held in custody.
Reality will issue the token, while Bitget will serve as its main trading platform. The goal is to make AURE-linked investments more accessible through blockchain markets.
rAURE Links Nasdaq Shares With Tokenized Gold
Aurelion’s treasury strategy focuses on XAU₮, also known as Tether Gold, a token backed by physical gold stored in approved vaults.
Through rAURE, the partners aim to bring exposure to Aurelion and its gold-focused treasury strategy to blockchain markets. However, rAURE will represent AURE shares, not direct ownership of gold.
Reality will provide the technology linking rAURE to the underlying shares. Its mint-and-redeem system is designed to connect the tokens to the shares held in custody.
“Bringing rAURE onchain is about making this exposure available through the infrastructure digital-asset users already use,” said Alice Li, Head of Reality.
Li added that linking rAURE to AURE shares and making it available on Bitget could help more users access tokenized stocks.
Bitget to Offer 24/7 Trading
After launch, eligible users in supported regions will be able to trade rAURE on Bitget 24/7, alongside other tokenized stocks and digital assets. This would allow users to trade AURE-linked tokens outside regular U.S. stock-market hours. Access will depend on local rules and eligibility requirements.
Bitget CEO Gracy Chen said rAURE offers users a new way to gain exposure to a Nasdaq-listed company with a treasury strategy focused on tokenized gold.
“Adding more assets only matters if they give traders something new,” Chen said.
The collaboration combines Aurelion’s underlying equity, Reality’s token issuance technology, and Bitget’s trading platform to bring rAURE to market.
Aurelion Aims to Make Gold Easier to Use
Aurelion focuses on building technology around XAU₮. Its goal is to make gold-backed assets easier to manage and use in financial services.
The company says its technology can track gold-backed assets and manage their risks in real time. It is also developing a payment system that could let users make payments using gold as collateral in under two seconds.
Aurelion CEO Frank said the company wants to make gold useful for everyday financial activities while preserving its value.
“We build two things: a risk layer that prices, monitors and manages gold-backed exposure in real time, and a technology layer that makes that exposure usable,” Frank said.
He added that Aurelion is working with licensed partners on a payment card backed by gold. The company hopes its partnership with Reality and Bitget will help more digital-asset users access AURE-linked investments.
Tokenized Stocks Expand Into Crypto Markets
The planned rAURE launch is part of Reality’s effort to bring publicly traded stocks onto the blockchain through its rToken product range.
Reality says it works with licensed brokers to buy and hold shares listed on major exchanges, including Nasdaq and the New York Stock Exchange. It then issues digital tokens linked to those shares.
The partnership will give users access to AURE-linked exposure through Bitget’s digital-asset trading platform. However, the companies have not yet confirmed the launch date or final trading details.
