  • Bitcoin saw $2.52B in exchange outflows over three days, the largest since 2023.
  • Binance led withdrawals, with over 13,800 BTC exiting in a single day.
  • Sustained outflows and rising prices suggest accumulation, though gains aren’t guaranteed.

Bitcoin (BTC) has recorded a staggering $2.52 billion in negative exchange outflows over a three-day period from September 22 to 24, 2026. This marks the largest multi-day exodus of the cryptocurrency from major centralized exchanges since 2023, with Binance accounting for a record single-day withdrawal of more than 13,800 BTC.

Bitcoin Exchange Outflows Hit $2.52B in Three Days

According to CryptoQuant analyst Amr Taha, data show Bitcoin registered an estimated $2.52 billion in combined negative net flows across key exchanges over a three-day period between September 22 and 24. Withdrawals were widespread, with Binance, Coinbase, Kraken, and Bitfinex all posting net outflows during the period.

On September 22, all four exchanges saw net outflows totaling approximately $1.574 billion. Binance led with $1.19 billion, followed by Coinbase at $286 million, Kraken at $55 million, and Bitfinex at $43 million.

On Sept. 23, the net outflows were approximately $438 million, with Binance’s $178 million, Coinbase’s $175 million, Bitfinex’s $50 million, and Kraken’s $35 million. On September 24, the total outflows amounted to around $511 million, with Binance at $370 million, Bitfinex at $88 million, and Coinbase at $53 million.

Binance Leads BTC’s Record Exchange Outflows

Binance recorded the highest percentage of recent Bitcoin exchange withdrawals, with its highest single-day net outflow since 2023. According to CryptoQuant analyst Darkfost, over 13,800 BTC were net withdrawn from the platform in a single day, representing about $1.16 billion at the current BTC price of nearly $84,000.

On September 25, 2026, BTC reserves at Binance had decreased by approximately 20K BTC to 685K BTC, down from approximately 705K BTC. The exchange’s weekly average netflow also remained negative at around 2,000 BTC.

Furthermore, as the largest holder of exchange-accessible BTC, with an estimated 30% of the total across major platforms, Binance’s outflows carried significant weight in the broader $2.52 billion multi-exchange net outflow recorded from September 22 to 24.

What’s Next for Bitcoin?

Bitcoin has already rallied about 45% from July lows and reclaimed the previous May high near $82,000. At the same time, continued exchange outflows suggest a reduction in available sell-side supply. This divergence between rising prices and declining exchange balances points to an accumulation phase similar to previous cycles, which could support price stability or further upside if demand holds.

That said, exchange outflows alone do not guarantee short-term gains. Bitcoin’s direction will still depend on spot demand, ETF flows, macro conditions, and overall market liquidity.
