- Bitget launches JIOUSDT pre-IPO perpetual futures with up to 20x leverage.
- Jio targets a ₹10.3 lakh crore IPO valuation, with shares priced at ₹1,065–₹1,119.
- Jio’s subscribers reached 533.3 million as its IPO could raise ₹30,200 crore.
Bitget has launched JIOUSDT pre-IPO perpetual futures, allowing traders to take leveraged positions linked to Jio Platforms’ expected valuation before its planned Indian stock market debut. Announced on October 14, the contract offers up to 20x leverage and settles in USDT.
Bitget CEO Gracy Chen said the launch brings Jio Platforms’ upcoming IPO into the derivatives market, giving traders an opportunity to gain early exposure to the Indian digital technology and telecommunications company ahead of its public listing. However, trading the contract does not confer ownership of Jio’s shares.
Bitget Opens Jio Pre-IPO Futures Trading With 20x Leverage
Unlike ordinary stock trading, JIOUSDT is a derivative without an expiration date. Its price reflects available information and market expectations since Jio shares have not yet begun public trading. Periodic funding payments between traders help keep the contract’s price aligned with its reference value.
Bitget uses an estimated 9.21 billion shares in its valuation calculations, which broadly matches the post-issue share count disclosed in Jio’s draft prospectus. The exchange says that the estimate can change and plans to move the contract into its standard perpetual futures framework after Jio lists and its share price stabilizes.
The 20x leverage ceiling also exceeds the 5x limit that Coinbase applied to its OpenAI and Anthropic pre-IPO contracts. Bitget warns that leverage can increase liquidation losses and recommends using lower levels for pre-IPO trading.
Jio IPO Targets ₹10.3 Lakh Crore Valuation
Jio is preparing to list on both the Bombay Stock Exchange and the National Stock Exchange. Its proposed share price range is ₹1,065 to ₹1,119, with the company targeting a valuation of approximately ₹10.3 lakh crore.
At the upper end, the new share offering could raise about ₹30,200 crore, exceeding Hyundai Motor India’s 2024 IPO. The offering consists entirely of newly issued shares, with no existing investors selling holdings. Jio plans to direct up to ₹27,500 crore toward repaying debt at Reliance Jio Infocomm. Earlier banker estimates had valued the company as high as $170 billion.
Jio operated 524.4 million mobile subscriptions at the end of March 2026, rising to 533.3 million by June 30. Its services span 5G, broadband, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence.
Bitget’s JIOUSDT launch gives traders a way to speculate on Jio Platforms’ expected valuation before its public listing, without acquiring the company’s shares. However, the contract’s price will reflect market expectations rather than an official share price, making leverage and valuation uncertainty important risks for traders.
