  • Bitmine boosts its Ethereum treasury to 5.81 million ETH, nearing its 5% target.
  • Most of Bitmine’s ETH is staked, creating potential income from staking rewards.
  • BMNR shares remain under pressure, falling nearly 40% despite its crypto holdings.

Bitmine Technologies increased its Ethereum holdings to 5.81 million ETH after buying another 7,391 tokens, bringing the company closer to its goal of controlling 5% of the cryptocurrency’s total supply.

The latest purchase brings Bitmine’s holdings to about 4.8% of Ethereum’s supply. At an ETH price of $1,928, the company’s Ethereum stash is worth roughly $11.2 billion.

Bitmine began building its Ethereum treasury in June 2025 and has continued adding to its holdings through a series of purchases. The strategy has turned the company into one of the largest corporate holders of Ether as it works toward its 5% target.

Staking Adds Income Potential

Bitmine has staked 5.07 million ETH, representing about 87% of its Ethereum holdings, allowing the company to earn rewards on much of its cryptocurrency treasury.

The company said its seven-day staking yield reached 2.63%, which would translate into about $257 million in annualized staking revenue if that rate were maintained. The estimate does not guarantee future returns, as staking yields can change.

The company also holds 209 Bitcoin, about $104 million in cash and securities, and other investments. Its combined assets have reached roughly $11.6 billion.

Shares Remain Under Pressure

Bitmine repurchased another three million shares, taking the total number of shares bought back since July to 19.1 million.

The company’s shares, which trade under the ticker BMNR, fell 3.61% to $18.14 on Monday. Despite the growth in its cryptocurrency holdings, the stock is down 39.66% this year.

Ether traded at $1,871 as of writing according to CoinMarketCap.
