Solana Labs has launched Leap, a mobile trading app that plans to use part of its future trading fees to buy and burn SOL tokens. The company opened early access on November 5, targeting retail investors interested in crypto and traditional financial markets.

The app will support cryptocurrencies, tokenized stocks, ETFs, commodities and currencies.

Leap Plans SOL Buybacks From Trading Fees

Leap currently charges no platform trading fees, although network and routing costs still apply. The company plans to introduce fees later and allocate part of the revenue toward SOL purchases and burns.

Its Founders Club will also reward referrals. Users can receive 30% of fees generated by direct referrals and 5% from a second referral level.

Jupiter and Helius Power Leap

Jupiter Exchange will handle Leap’s trade routing, with Helius supporting the app’s infrastructure. Birdeye and Tokens will supply market data.

Leap will also let users check how their portfolios are performing. Its tracker measures gains and losses against each position’s breakeven price. It also factors in deposits, withdrawals and transaction fees.

The app is starting with spot trading. Solana Labs has not yet detailed when it will add other asset classes. Separately, the company plans to use some of its future trading fee revenue to buy SOL and remove the tokens from circulation.
