Strategy Inc. shareholders have approved a proposal allowing four preferred stock series to distribute dividends daily, marking a shift in the company’s income payment structure. The approval covers STRC, STRF, STRK, and STRD, with implementation scheduled in two phases, subject to regulatory filings.
Strategy Sets Timeline for Daily Dividend Payments
Strategy plans to introduce daily dividend schedules for STRC on November 1, 2026. Meanwhile, STRF, STRK, and STRD will adopt the arrangement on January 1, 2027.
The revised terms establish dividend record dates for every calendar day, including weekends and holidays. Consequently, payment schedules will depend on clearing arrangements and applicable market rules.
For Nasdaq-listed shares, consecutive dividend dates falling on non-trading days may combine under a single record and ex-dividend date. Hence, investors must understand settlement rules before trading around these dates.
Trading Rules Could Affect Dividend Eligibility
Strategy expects payments for STRC to begin November 2, while payments for the other three series start January 4, 2027. However, individual brokers and alternative trading platforms may apply different procedures.
Additionally, the company recently repurchased approximately 2.07 million STRC shares for $204.9 million. Its Bitcoin holdings remained unchanged at 848,517 BTC during the reported week.
Meanwhile, Strategy’s MSTR shares traded at $139.53, down 1.32% during the session. Significantly, investors should review broker guidance because transaction timing may affect dividend eligibility.
