- DEX traders sold $68K in PONS against $2.3K bought, a nearly 30-fold imbalance.
- PONS derivatives volume jumped 228.21% to $215.07M as open interest hit $117.63M.
- The four-hour candle dipped to $0.2840, leaving $0.28 support untested below $0.297.
On October 28, PONS climbed more than 18% over 24 hours, although decentralized-exchange selling briefly overwhelmed demand. Around 07:25 UTC, DexScreener recorded approximately $68,000 in sales against $2,300 in purchases, creating a $65,700 hourly imbalance.
As a result, selling exceeded buying nearly 30-fold, suggesting possible profit-taking without confirming realized profits. Consequently, attention shifted to whether sustained selling pressure could push PONS toward the $0.28 support level.
Later, PONS traded near $0.2916, declining 5.26% over six hours despite its daily advance. During that period, sales reached $160,000 against $84,000 in purchases. However, the broader 24-hour activity remained favorable to buyers, with $579K purchased against $386K sold across 2,291 transactions.

PONS Futures Sales Hit $2.19B as Spot Buying Remains Strong
A later hourly window showed $1,600 in buying versus $486 in selling, indicating that earlier DEX selling had eased. Yet the wider Pons price analysis showed substantial leveraged activity. Over 30 days, futures accounted for $4.21 billion, or 90.12% of combined futures and spot volume, while spot accounted for $461.81 million.

Still, an improving hourly balance does not establish how long renewed buying demand will continue. According to CoinGlass, futures taker sales reached $2.19 billion, exceeding purchases of $2.02 billion.
In contrast, spot taker buying totaled $238.01 million against $223.80 million in selling, leaving a $14.21 million difference. Separate 24-hour readings showed sellers accounting for 50.83% of futures activity and 51.08% of spot activity.

Meanwhile, derivatives volume surged 228.21% to $215.07 million, while open interest advanced 21.82% to $117.63 million. Funding remained positive at 0.0062%, indicating that long positions paid shorts.
At 03:00, short liquidations reached $199,890, compared with $60,570 in long liquidations. Although these figures confirm leveraged positioning and forced closures, they cannot establish whether large PONS spot holders were selling.

PONS Four-Hour Price Analysis: Can $0.28 Hold Below $0.297?
Meanwhile, the PONS/WETH pool held approximately $2.5 million in reported liquidity. The $68,000 selling burst represented 2.7% of that amount, although this ratio does not directly measure actual price impact. A Pons liquidation-risk dashboard also displayed 7.75% alongside $3.62 million, but neither figure identifies the sellers.

TradingView’s four-hour chart placed PONS near $0.2931 following a rebound from October’s $0.2181 low. However, a four-hour candle closed below $0.297, leaving that level as immediate resistance, followed by $0.3044.
On the downside, the 50% Fibonacci level at $0.2879 provided nearby support. Although the displayed candle reached $0.2840, it remained above $0.28, meaning a confirmed defense of that threshold remains unproven.

A four-hour close below $0.28 would put PONS at risk of slipping toward $0.262–$0.245. A move back above $0.297, backed by stronger buying, could instead support a recovery. Still, without detailed swap records or wallet histories, it remains unclear whether the recent selling reflects profit-taking or exits by large holders.
PONS Key Technical Levels
| Price Level | Technical Significance |
| $0.3044 | Secondary resistance |
| $0.2970 | Immediate resistance |
| $0.2879 | Fibonacci support |
| $0.2800 | Critical support |
| $0.262–$0.245 | Downside support zone |
Bullish Case
Buyers would need to reclaim $0.297 on stronger volume to open the way toward $0.3044. Sustained buying momentum would provide further confirmation.
Bearish Case
However, a sustained four-hour close below $0.28 would weaken immediate support and could potentially expose the lower $0.262–$0.245 price range.
FAQs
Recent selling suggests profit-taking may have started, although transaction data does not yet establish whether holders are systematically exiting positions.
Large wallet exits have not been verified, so the recent sell imbalance alone cannot establish whether whales are reducing exposure.
The $0.28 support level remains technically untested, as the observed candle bottomed at $0.2840, leaving its strength uncertain for now.
Recovery would become more credible if PONS reclaims $0.297 on a four-hour candle while overall buying volume also increases substantially.
