X is turning its financial discussion tools into a direct gateway for trading through its new U.S. Cashtag Partner Program. The social platform now lets users move from market conversations to participating brokerages.
At launch, Interactive Brokers, Moomoo, Gemini, Kraken, and Coinbase join the program. The move could make X a more important destination for traders who discover assets through social discussions.
From Market Posts to Trading
Cashtags already connect stock, ETF, and cryptocurrency tickers with market data and related posts. Now, supported assets will display a new “Trade” option within their Cashtag pages. Users can review price charts and conversations before choosing a participating brokerage.
Consequently, traders can move from researching an asset to opening a brokerage account. Existing customers can also sign in and continue through the brokerage’s platform. X does not complete the transaction directly.
X Builds a Financial Hub
Additionally, the program strengthens X’s role in financial discovery and market engagement. The company says Cashtags can connect real-time conversations with trading access. Hence, users may spend less time switching between social media and brokerage platforms.
Moreover, the program could give brokerages another channel for reaching potential customers. However, trading still occurs through each participating brokerage. X’s latest move expands its financial tools while keeping execution with regulated partners.
