  • Elon Musk recently put out a poll on whether he should step down as the head of Twitter.
  • The poll currently has 13,991,541 votes with 56.8% voting “Yes.”
  • Edward Snowden tweeted that he is willing to be the CEO and take his salary in Bitcoin.

Edward Snowden, an American national security agency whistleblower, offered to become the CEO of Twitter through one of his recent tweets. Snowden also tweeted that he will accept payment in bitcoin.

The tweet was a follow-up to Elon Musk’s poll on whether he should step down as the head of Twitter. He also asserted that he would abide by the results of this poll.

The poll currently has 13,991,541 votes, with just 3 hours left until the poll ends. As per the current statistics, 56.8% of the votes reveal that they want Musk to step down as Twitter head. Only 43.1% voted “no” for the poll. One of his recent tweets also reads:

As the saying goes, be careful what you wish for, as you might get it.

Musk also tweeted that those who want power are the ones who least deserve it. All of these come after the Twitter CEO recently made contentious policy changes that infuriated some users and alienated former supporters. Musk most recently implemented a rule that forbids users from linking to rival social media platforms.

The decision was not warmly welcomed, as many, including the largest YouTuber, Mr. Beast, were opposed to this policy change. Following a barrage of criticism, Musk issued an apology via Twitter, stating that major policy changes would be put to a vote in the future.

However, the vote is likely to not end in Musk’s favor, and he soon may have to find the right candidate for the position of CEO of Twitter. Although, there are others who believe that the poll is merely for show and that decisions regarding the CEO change might have already been made.
