Pi Network price prediction for October turns bullish above $0.0917, the level PI needs to clear to break out of a 4-month downtrend.

Pi Network Price Analysis: Can PI Break Its Downtrend in October?

PI is close to breaking its downtrend but has not cleared it yet, trading near $0.0903, up 0.34% today, where the descending line from early June, the 20-day average at $0.0903 and the middle Bollinger line at $0.0894 all meet. A late-September push to about $0.0935 briefly cleared the trendline before price slipped back, so a daily close above the 50-day average at $0.0917 would be the first real confirmation.

Above that, the upper Bollinger Band at $0.0975 and the 100-day average at $0.1003 come next, while the 200-day at $0.1325 shows how far PI still sits below its longer trend. The bands have tightened to $0.0812 and $0.0975, so a break in either direction is likely before the month ends.

PI News: Pi Network Partners With Open Standard, the Company Behind OUSD

Pi Core Team said on X that Pi Network is partnering with Open Standard, which runs the Open USD (OUSD) stablecoin and counts more than 200 partners including Visa, Google and Stripe. Pi said it will explore rewards programs for its Pioneers, as it calls its users, along with broader uses across its ecosystem, and promised more details later.

A report on the announcement said it came hours after OUSD went live on September 30. Pi gave no launch date, reward terms or explanation of how OUSD would connect to the PI token, so the deal so far is a stated intention rather than a product.

PI News: Protocol 28 Heads to Mainnet on October 16

Pi Core Team said Pi Testnet has moved to Protocol 28 after Protocol 27 finished on mainnet. The upgrade improves how the network handles delays in transaction data and lets developers upgrade groups of smart contracts at once and change stored data more safely.

Node operators must upgrade by October 13 ahead of the mainnet switch on October 16. Separately, the community account Pi News said 417,000+ Pioneers “just got another door opened” and that 497,000 more were targeted for a fix to their Pi migration, figures it did not source. Neither post says how the upgrade would affect demand for PI.

Pi Network Price Prediction: Bullish and Bearish Scenarios for October

Bullish Case, Target: $0.10

PI holds the 20-day average at $0.0903, closes a day above the 50-day at $0.0917 and clears the upper band at $0.0975. That puts the 100-day average at $0.1003 in reach, with the August spike near $0.11 as the next target if the Protocol 28 upgrade lands without problems.

Bearish Case, Risk Level: $0.0812 (Lower Band)

PI loses the cluster near $0.0903 and slides to the lower band at $0.0812. A close below it would bring the mid-September low near $0.0805 and the July low near $0.0700 into view.

FAQs

What is the Pi Network price prediction for October 2026?

PI could extend toward $0.10 and then $0.11 if it holds above $0.0903 and closes above the 50-day average at $0.0917. A close below $0.0903 risks a slide toward the lower band at $0.0812.

Will Pi Network reach $1 in October?

It is extremely unlikely. $1 would need a gain of about 1,007% from $0.0903, PI would first have to retake the 100-day average at $0.1003 and the 200-day at $0.1325, and even the best October on CryptoRank’s thin record, 38.1% in 2024, would only lift price to about $0.125.

Could Pi Network fall below $0.08 in October?

Yes, if it loses $0.0903 and the lower band at $0.0812. $0.08 is a drop of about 11.4%, and the mid-September low near $0.0805 sits at that level.

What is the Pi Network and Open Standard partnership?

Pi Core Team announced a partnership with Open Standard, the company behind the OUSD stablecoin, and said Pi will explore rewards programs for Pioneers and wider uses across its ecosystem. No launch date, reward terms or timeline has been given.
