  • U.S. spot SOL ETFs saw provisional $8.2M outflows on October 26, with reports pending.
  • Alpenglow measured 404 ms median finality; SOL/BTC slipped 2.1% from October 20 to 26.

Solana traded near $100.73 during the October 27 Asian session, bringing $100 support back into focus. Although Alpenglow was live, ETF withdrawals continued as derivatives positioning weakened.

Solana $100 Support Faces $8.2M ETF Outflows After Alpenglow

According to Alpha Finance, U.S. spot Solana ETFs recorded approximately $8.2 million in outflows on October 26. However, the figure remained provisional because several fund entries were pending. Bitwise’s BSOL recorded $7.2 million in withdrawals, while Grayscale’s GSOL lost another $1.8 million.

Meanwhile, MSOL attracted $800,000, partly offsetting those losses. Consequently, cumulative net flows since October 8 stood at negative $58.6 million, including $38.5 million in withdrawals across the last seven reported sessions.

Derivatives data reflected similar weakness. CoinGlass figures showed Solana futures open interest declining from $6.34 billion to $6.27 billion. Nevertheless, lower dollar exposure alone does not establish forced liquidations.

Alpenglow Measures 404 ms Finality as SOL/BTC Falls 2.1%

Meanwhile, the October 21 Alpenglow upgrade replaced TowerBFT with Votor. Its finality target is about 150 milliseconds, down from a previous 12.8-second reference. On October 23, however, OpenChainBench measured a 404-millisecond median across 357,000 slots.

Settlement had accelerated, though the measured result remained above target. Basically, quicker finality can help applications settle transactions, but it does not automatically generate fresh SOL purchases.

This distinction matters as Binance’s SOL/BTC ratio fell from 0.001283 on October 20 to 0.0012563 on October 26, reflecting a 2.1% decline despite the network upgrade.

SOL Price Analysis: $101.15 Reclaim or $99.57 Breakdown?

Around $100, Alpha Finance estimated an $11.2 million long-liquidation cluster at $99.57. On the other hand, shorts totaling an estimated $7.9 million sat near $103.04. However, both were modeled levels, not confirmed orders.

As a result, a dip below $100 followed by a four-hour close back above $101.15 would indicate a reclaim, putting $103.04 and $105.28 into view. Nevertheless, sustained weakness beneath $99.57, then $98, would instead expose $97.38.

Meanwhile, TradingView’s daily-anchored CVD recovered from −29.69K to approximately +3.29K by 11:01 UTC on October 27. This suggests improving short-term buying pressure, although earlier negative readings leave sustained accumulation unconfirmed.

Furthermore, continued ETF outflows could add selling pressure if SOL fails to defend the $100 support level.

Key Technical Levels

Price LevelSignificance
$105.28Higher resistance
$103.04Short-liquidation cluster
$101.15Recovery confirmation
$100.00Psychological support
$99.57Long-liquidation cluster
$98.00–$97.38Downside references

Bullish Case Scenario: A sweep below $100 followed by a four-hour close above $101.15, supported by rising spot CVD, would favor a move toward $103.04–$105.28.

Bearish Case Scenario: Nevertheless, a sustained weakness below $99.57 and $98 could expose the $97.38 level.
