SBF’s Meetings With White House Aides Raise Concerns
  • SBF has met with several officials from Biden`s administration.
  • Bankman-Fried`s meeting with Steve Ricchetti was unrecorded.
  • Questions about the company’s connections to the federal government have arisen.

Before the downfall of his cryptocurrency enterprise and his arrest in the Bahamas this year, disgraced cryptocurrency magnate Sam Bankman-Fried met with four officials from the Biden administration.

Scrutiny has arisen inside the cryptocurrency community as a consequence of these gatherings. For instance, Twitter user MartyParty asks SBF to provide his thoughts on the topics discussed with the White House aides.

White House officials reported that on September 8, Bankman-Fried met with Steve Ricchetti, a senior aide to President Joe Biden. This meeting, the most recent of many that have gone unreported, took place recently.

The White House visitor records included at least three more visitors who were known to be associated with Bankman-Fried. Officials have verified that Ricchetti met with Biden on two separate occasions (April 22 and May 12) and that Ricchetti also met with Bruce Reed, a senior advisor to Biden, the following day (May 13).

In spite of the fact that the last meeting was reportedly just one meeting, the minutes show that it was split into two parts. Others from FTX attended some of the earlier White House gatherings.

Gabriel Bankman-Fried, his brother, is documented at a meeting that he held in March on his own. After that, he took part in the session that took place on May 13, bringing the total number of sessions that either one or both of the brothers had participated in this year to at least five.

Since the FTX exchange failed, questions about the company’s connections to the federal government have arisen. Sam Bankman-Fried was the second-largest individual contributor to the Democratic Party in the 2022 election cycle, having millions of dollars. Ryan Salame, one of his former top lieutenants, was likewise a huge contributor but supported the opposition Republican Party.
