The Shibarium network’s official Twitter account released an update about their network. The tweet in particular is to address the ongoing rumors about the involvement of other tokens in the network.

The tweet by Shibarium confirms that BONE will remain “the only token” that will be used for gas fees and other use cases inside the Shibarium network.

Furthermore, and to make it strictly clear: Shibarium has been developed for Shibtoken and not for the sake of other projects who claim ownership or speculation surrounding its operability dependency on any other tokens.

Shibarium also tweeted thanking the community for bringing such energy and excitement regarding the launch of Shibarium. The team also confirmed that this layer belongs to the community’s solid foundation, which is to innovate while evolving Shiba Inu into an ecosystem.

Finally, they urged the community to keep an eye on official information from their social media and blog portals in order to receive accurate information from the source.

The Shiba Inu community has been highly anticipating the launch of Shibarium, which is right around the corner. Shytoshi Kusama, the lead developer of Shiba Inu, recently unveiled that they had a meeting with Unification Foundation to finalize the launch of Shibarium.

Recently, some codes of the Shibarium layer-2 network went live for public viewing on GitHub. However, the particular date for the launch of Shibarium was not yet announced.
