  • Stellar leads Avalanche and Hedera in tracked distributed assets across RWA networks.
  • Ondo reports over $1B in stock TVL and more than $26B in tokenized stock trading volume.
  • XAUt and PAXG show direct RWA adoption through tokens backed by allocated physical gold.

RWA tokens are gaining traction in 2026 as blockchain projects expand into tokenized securities, commodities, funds, and institutional finance. However, market capitalization alone does not measure real-world adoption. The sector includes infrastructure networks, tokenization platforms, and assets directly backed by traditional financial products.

The strongest evidence comes from assets issued, customer holdings, and completed transactions. These measures tell different stories from token prices. A network’s market capitalization does not represent the value of real-world assets issued through it.

The following list follows CoinMarketCap’s Real World Assets Protocols category. It ranks tokens by market capitalization, rather than adoption, and includes infrastructure, governance, and commodity-backed assets.

Chainlink’s September reserve-reporting work involves Wyoming’s Frontier Stable Token, or FRNT. On September 2, the state’s commission adopted Chainlink Proof of Reserve. The service publishes verified reserve data on-chain in near real time.

The Network Firm examines FRNT’s reserves and token supply under accounting standards. Wyoming also uses Chainlink to connect the token across blockchains. A separate Secure Mint integration remained in progress, linking planned token issuance controls to verified backing.

2. Stellar Shows Fund Growth and Active Transfers

Beyond reserve services, Stellar provides a network for tokenized funds. Its distributed asset value rose 3.05% over the preceding 30 days. RWA transfers reached $558.28 million during that period, rising 35.03%.

The network’s platform table listed Spiko at $1.7 billion and Franklin Templeton’s Benji platform at $512.4 million. Ondo also had $536.4 million on Stellar. These figures identify the issuers behind the network’s totals, rather than treating XLM’s market value as adoption.

3. Avalanche’s Asset Value Rises as Transfer Volume Falls

Avalanche recorded $1.82 billion in distributed assets, up 8.62% over 30 days. However, RWA transfer volume fell 74.75% to $83.58 million. The data show that asset balances and transaction activity moved in different directions.

RWA.xyz separately listed $11.40 billion in represented assets on Avalanche. That total belongs to a different category and is excluded from the distributed-asset comparison.

Its fund infrastructure includes New York Life Investment Management’s HYB product through Centrifuge. Deployment records confirm Avalanche support with USDC.

4. Hedera’s Adoption Centers on Tokenized Securities

Hedera had $98.78 million in distributed assets, rising 6.53% over 30 days. Its RWA transfer volume totaled $10.12 million over that period. Archax accounted for $88.3 million in the network’s platform table.

Beyond those balances, Archax introduced streaming interest payments on Hedera in June. The service uses USDC to distribute payments near second by second. Cash flows follow the security when ownership changes, adding an ongoing function to tokenized holdings.

5. Ondo Expands Stock Access Across More Networks

Ondo’s tracked asset value grew 5.73% over 30 days, according to RWA.xyz. Its dashboard listed 460 assets and $1.86 billion in monthly transfers. These platform figures cover a broader product range than tokenized stocks alone.

On September 22, Ondo Stocks launched through near.com and NEAR Intents with an initial 20 assets. Ondo reported more than $1 billion in stock-platform TVL and over $26 billion in trading volume.

Two days later, it introduced three portfolio tokens based on BlackRock-developed strategies. Ondo handles their implementation and rebalancing.

6. Tether Gold Provides Measurable Bullion Exposure

Gold-backed RWA tokens provide a different measure of adoption. Tether Gold had about $2.64 billion in asset value on RWA.xyz’s. The tracker listed roughly 618,218 XAUT in circulation.

Each full XAUT represents one fine troy ounce of physical gold. Tether identifies the allocated bullion through bar details, including serial numbers and weight. The dashboard’s total asset value was 6.15% lower than 30 days earlier.

7. PAX Gold Pairs Circulating Supply With Reserve Reports

PAX Gold followed with approximately $1.84 billion in tracked asset value. RWA.xyz listed about 432,357 PAXG in circulation. Total asset value fell 7.13% over 30 days, while net asset value per token declined 8.35%.

Paxos states that each token represents one fine troy ounce of allocated gold. It provides a bar-lookup tool and monthly reserve attestations. KPMG conducts the examinations identified on its transparency page.

8. Sky Gains a $100 Million Corporate Allocation

Sky’s latest institutional development came on September 23. Galaxy added $100 million of sUSDS to its corporate treasury and approved the token as institutional trading collateral. It also acquired an undisclosed amount of SKY.

Separate allocation data show the ecosystem’s connection to traditional funds. Sky’s September 17 report listed roughly $1.23 billion with Janus Henderson and $618.32 million with BlackRock as of September 1. Those positions concern ecosystem allocations, not assets directly owned by SKY holders.

9. Quant Secures a Banking Deal With a 2027 Launch Target

Quant’s newest major agreement remains a development project. On September 24, The Clearing House selected its technology for the On-Chain Money Initiative. The planned network is designed to clear and settle tokenized bank deposits.

Quant is providing connections and transaction coordination across participating systems. The project also targets links with existing payment networks, including RTP and CHIPS. Availability is expected in the first half of 2027, so the agreement is not evidence of current network transaction volume.

10. Algorand Combines Fund Infrastructure With Property Applications

RWA.xyz tracked $71.43 million in distributed assets on Algorand. Its network page listed one Securitize product, making the coverage narrower than the chain’s full application range. The reported value declined 5.02% over 30 days.

Algorand also supports Lofty’s fractional property marketplace. The foundation’s August update, published September 10, recorded Lofty’s launch of automatic re-lending. That application provides a separate example of property-related financial services running on the network.

Which RWA Tokens Show the Clearest Adoption?

Among the networks reviewed, Stellar leads Avalanche and Hedera in tracked distributed assets. Ondo’s product totals span several blockchains, so they overlap with network figures. Adding those totals together double-counts some holdings.

Gold-backed RWA tokens offer direct commodity exposure, while other projects provide investment products or financial infrastructure. Their adoption records require different measures of asset value, transaction activity, and operational status.
