- Schwartz says off-topic crypto replies on other users’ X threads are causing disruption.
- He plans to block accounts posting praise or criticism in unrelated conversations.
- Schwartz backed a proposal for weekly posts where new XRPL projects could introduce themselves.
David Schwartz says crypto-related replies on other users’ X threads are creating problems for the people he is trying to engage with. The replies, which can praise XRP or accuse him of fraud, have prompted him to block accounts that post them.
Schwartz said the issue is where those comments appear on conversations unrelated to crypto, where they can reach the other participants’ followers and lead some people to block him.
Schwartz Sets a Boundary on Replies to Other Users
Schwartz said some users follow his activity on X to respond to conversations unrelated to cryptocurrency. Their replies, he said, can include the word “scammer” or comments praising XRP. He argued that both kinds of messages can crowd the timelines of other users’ followers.
Schwartz said those people may then block him because of the replies appearing in their conversations. He described blocking the accounts responsible as necessary to prevent that disruption.
He said he accepts criticism and accusations when they contain substantive points and avoid slurs. He asked users to post them in their own threads or respond to his posts when the comments are at least somewhat relevant to the discussion.
“I will block for this whether your post is a criticism or a compliment,” Schwartz wrote. He said people blocked for this behavior could seek his attention and promise not to repeat it. He added that he would consider unblocking them even if they strongly disliked him.
XRP Project Suggestion Wins Schwartz’s Support
The post prompted a response from the X account XYZ-XRP, which said it was not seeking to insult or condemn Schwartz. The account asked how people developing new projects could bring them to his attention, noting that users may want to share their work with someone involved in the XRPL network.
XYZ-XRP suggested that Schwartz host a post once a week where newcomers to the ecosystem could introduce themselves. Schwartz replied, “That’s a great idea!!!!”
The exchange offered a possible way for project developers to reach Schwartz without inserting unrelated messages into conversations on other users’ threads.
Another User Raises XRP and ISO 20022 Criticism
A separate user, John, criticized Schwartz in replies to the discussion. John accused him of tricking people into buying XRP and questioned his decision to block users rather than explaining why some people were turning against him.
John also criticized Schwartz’s X username, which includes “iso20022.” He claimed XRP is not and will not be compliant or compatible with ISO 20022, and said Schwartz was relying on influencer videos rather than conducting his own research.
