XRP CTO Launches 28 ‘Ugly On The Outside’ NFTs on ETH via OpenSea
  • Ripple’s CTO and one of XRPL ecosystem’s architects, David Schwartz launched his NFT line.
  • The digital art collection called “Ugly on the Outside/ features 28 items available on the OpenSea market.
  • The total volume of the items is 3 ETH, while the ground worth is 0.25 ETH per product.

The CTO and one of the designers of Ripple (XRPL) a US-based technology company, David “Joe Katz” Schwartz, has introduced his own NFT line called “Ugly On The Outside”. The 28 pieces of digital art were produced on Ethereum (ETH) and are available for purchase on the OpenSea market.

In detail, Schwartz introduced his NFT invention under the pseudonym “Joel Katz”. The author believes that future owners will name the incredibly ugly characters on the items in the collection after people they know who are just as hideous on the inside as these “of us” is on the outside. The group was produced using Steady Diffusion, a piece of software that turns words into images and produces lifelike art.

Currently, the total buying and selling quantity of Ugly On The Outside is three ETH, while the ground worth is 0.25 ETH per product. Moreover, a 5% creator’s fee is charged on gross sales of “uglies”.

Given the tight connection between the XRP community and Vitalik Buterin’s blockchain, some consumers have been quick to attack Schwartz for developing and publishing his collection on Ethereum.

In response to the criticism, a Ripple official stated that his most significant offering, Sologenic, is already available on the XRPL market and that he is also in negotiations with XRP Cafe, another prominent NFT venue. At the same time, Schwartz declared he was not picking favorites in the NFT field and that he wanted to learn as much as he could about the industry.
