- XRP’s $1.40 target depends on a daily close above $1.31, preferably near $1.32.
- A bullish XRP MACD crossover was expected within 24 hours but remained unconfirmed.
- XRP was absent from the reported list of assets involved in the Binance hot-wallet outflows.
XRP could be approaching a breakout, with an analyst identifying a daily close above $1.31 as the key confirmation level. If the price clears this threshold, the first upside target stands at $1.40, based on a downward resistance trendline extending from September.
Why XRP’s $1.31 Close Matters for the $1.40 Target
Crypto analyst Steph Is Crypto outlined the conditional XRP price prediction, placing $1.40 as the first level to watch. He said a break above $1.40 could lead to $1.44 and $1.50, with higher levels also possible in his short-term forecast.
Those targets depended on the daily close. Steph identified a finish above $1.31, preferably $1.32, as the earliest confirmation of a possible breakout, and urged viewers to watch that closing level.
His analysis compared daily candlesticks with a line chart focused on closing prices. He said wicks made the emerging breakout harder to identify, while the line chart showed XRP attempting to clear resistance.
Steph also highlighted a possible bullish crossover in the moving average convergence divergence indicator, or MACD. He expected confirmation within 24 hours.

He cited August 18 as the previous comparable crossover and linked that signal to a later XRP advance. He contrasted that technical setup with bearish expectations he described among some market observers, saying many people still anticipated a lower XRP price despite the emerging signals.

XRP Missing From Reported Binance Hack Outflows Worth $5.6B
The $1.40 XRP forecast comes following reports of a Binance breach in which the token was absent from the reported asset tally. Analyst Antony Welfare highlighted that omission, saying he didn’t notice any XRP hacked.
The October 29 incident reportedly involved unauthorized withdrawals from Binance hot wallets across multiple blockchains. Binance’s preliminary investigation pointed to a compromised DevOps engineer’s laptop, which allegedly allowed attackers to access an internal service container and submit unauthorized withdrawal transactions.
Blockchain analytics firms have linked the attack to North Korea’s TraderTraitor group. Binance has also worked with industry partners and law enforcement to freeze approximately $3 billion in assets and pledged to cover user losses through its Secure Asset Fund for Users (SAFU) and company funds.
