  • XRP is facing severe selling pressure after rebounding toward the $1.34 breaker block.
  • CoinGlass shows about $4.22B in ask-walls versus $93M in bid-walls, with large-trade net flow near -$3.35M.
  • The key question is whether buyers will defend the $1.32 fair value gap as FOMC rate fears pressure demand.

XRP’s recovery toward the $1.34 breaker block has stalled as severe selling pressure builds. However, CoinGlass data is showing a substantial liquidity imbalance between the ask-wall and the bid-wall, with the net flow for large trades still negative.

As the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) decision approaches, XRP’s ability to hold and defend the  $1.31-$1.32 fair value gap (FVG) could decide if the recovery will continue toward $1.38 or weak demand will expose lower liquidity near $1.3031.

XRP Price Rebounds From October Lows but Faces Rejection at the $1.34 Breaker Block

XRP recovered from its October 24-26 lows, which bottomed in the $1.25-$1.29 level on major cryptocurrency exchanges. The token has since risen consistently from those levels, briefly breaking into the mid-$1.30s.

The rebound, however, has stalled after a clear rejection around the $1.34 breaker block, the former support-turned-resistance level. The rejection at $1.34 shows some overhead supply and also correlates with the technical setup where previous breakdown zones tend to become resistance on the initial retest.

As of October 28, 2026, XRP is trading at nearly $1.33, with recent peaks at over $1.34 during the session, as the market awaits the FOMC’s rate decision later today.

Can Buyers Defend the $1.31–$1.32 Fair Value Gap?

The immediate focus for bulls is the $1.31–$1.32 FVG left during the recent rebound. This inefficiency zone is now the closest demand area where buyers were able to intervene and preserve the recovery structure.

Meanwhile, the ability of buyers to defend the FVG is very much dependent on the order book walls’ behavior. The prevailing micro-structure indicates an imminent defensive breakdown and a quick liquidity sweep below the FVG before a true recovery can be made.

A successful defense and reclaim of the zone would allow the long-term higher-low sequence to remain intact and continue to attempt to defend the breakout. On the other hand, a clear break and continued trading below the $1.31-$1.32 price range could indicate a lack of demand, which could lead to a further pullback to lower liquidity zones.

Why CoinGlass Data Shows $4.22B Ask Walls Against $ 93M Bid Walls as XRP Selling Pressure Builds

CoinGlass large order data appears to be showing a significant disconnect between the current state of XRP’s order book and why selling pressure exists near recent highs. At the time of reporting, the imbalances were about 2:98 (bid:ask), with the total bid walls at about $93 million and the ask walls at $4.22 billion.

In addition, a significant resting ask wall of approximately $3.35 billion is currently located on the Coinbase Spot exchange, while the nearest ask wall is set at $1.3316, and the nearest bid wall is set near $1.3296.

That said, CoinGlass data depicts heavy concentration on ask-side liquidity, meaning sellers are putting up a much bigger fight on the upside than buyers supporting the downside, which is in line with the rejection seen around the $1.34 level.

What’s Next for XRP Price?

If the buyers do not support the immediate $1.3296 bid wall and the fundamental $1.31 – $1.32 FVG, it will cause an automatic chain reaction of sell-stops from over-leveraged longs. A decisive daily close above the $1.34 breaker block would reopen the route toward the $1.38 order block and potentially higher liquidity targets.

However, failure to defend the FVG, particularly on continued negative order flow or a risk-off reaction to the FOMC outcome, could expose lower liquidity near $1.3031 and pave the way for a retest of the October lows.
