  • Bitget introduced Broker Interoperability and Super Match to expand tokenized asset access and improve liquidity.
  • rToken Transfer lets users move over 3,000 eligible U.S. stocks and ETFs to Bitget without selling them.
  • Bitget plans to expand rToken uses to lending, borrowing, and earning products, subject to availability and local rules.

Bitget is expanding its real-world asset (RWA) strategy to make tokenized stocks and ETFs easier to access and trade.

The crypto exchange is introducing two features: Broker Interoperability, which connects eligible stocks held with external brokers to its tokenized asset platform, and Super Match, which brings together traders, market makers, and other sources of liquidity to improve pricing and trading.

The goal is to make tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs more accessible to both retail and institutional investors, with better liquidity and more trading opportunities beyond regular stock market hours where supported.

Bitget Opens Tokenized Markets to External Brokerage Assets

Bitget launched rToken Transfer on October 13, allowing users to move more than 3,000 eligible U.S.-listed stocks and ETFs into its tokenized asset platform without selling them first.

Users transfer their stocks or ETFs from an external broker to Bitget’s designated Alpaca account. Once received and processed, the assets are automatically converted into digital tokens called rTokens and added to the users’ spot accounts.

The system reduces manual work and makes it easier to move traditional stocks and ETFs into tokenized markets. This marks a new step for Bitget, as it aims not only to offer tokenized stocks and ETFs but also to connect investors’ existing stock holdings with its digital asset platform.

Super Match Aims to Improve Liquidity and Pricing

Bitget’s second initiative, Super Match, is designed to improve trading by connecting buyers, sellers, market makers, and different sources of liquidity.

The goal is to make trading tokenized stocks more efficient, with better liquidity and pricing as more people join the market. It may also allow supported rTokens to be traded outside regular stock market hours.

However, liquidity, prices, and trading availability will depend on market conditions, supported assets, and product rules. By combining tokenization with better trading infrastructure, Bitget aims to attract more investors and institutional players to its real-world asset (RWA) platform.

Bitget Plans More Uses for Tokenized Stocks

Bitget plans to expand how users can use eligible rTokens beyond regular trading. Depending on availability and local rules, users could use these tokens for borrowing, lending, earning rewards, and other financial services.

Bitget CEO Gracy Chen said the company wants to connect existing brokerage assets with better liquidity and more ways to use capital. She explained that Broker Interoperability allows users to bring eligible stocks into Bitget’s platform, while Super Match aims to improve liquidity and pricing.

The plan supports Bitget’s Universal Exchange (UEX) vision of bringing traditional and digital assets together on one platform.

Bitget’s rToken Ecosystem Continues to Grow

The initiative builds on the growth of Bitget’s rToken ecosystem, supported by its Reality platform for issuing tokenized real-world assets. According to Bitget, rToken assets under management reached about $114 million by July 6, while total transactions exceeded two million.

With rToken Transfer and Super Match, Bitget aims to connect traditional stock holdings to digital markets, making it easier for eligible assets to access more trading and financial opportunities.
