  • ARB derivatives volume jumped 120.12% to $588.78M as open interest rose 10.92%

Arbitrum price prediction for this week stays bullish above $0.1787, the support ARB needs to hold to keep $0.2079 in play.

Arbitrum Price Analysis: Can ARB Hold Above $0.1787?

ARB is holding above the 0.618 Fibonacci level at $0.1787 for now, trading at $0.1931 and down 2% today after rising to $0.2035 and slipping back to the falling line of its triangle. Price sits just under the 0.5 Fibonacci level at $0.1933, so a daily close above that level is the first step toward the 0.382 level at $0.2079.

The rising triangle line near $0.18 sits beside the 0.618 level, which makes that area the key floor for the week. A daily close below $0.1787 would lose both supports at once and point to the 0.705 level at $0.1680.

ARB looks more likely to test $0.2079 than to lose $0.1787 this week, and a daily close above $0.2079 would put the $0.22 area in view.

Entropy Proposes Adding USDG to ArbitrumDAO’s Plan With 100M ARB in Incentives

The Entropy team has opened a temperature check vote on adding USDG, the stablecoin issued by Paxos, to ArbitrumDAO’s core strategic plan, according to PANews, which cited the Arbitrum Governance Forum. A temperature check is an early indicative vote, and this one ends on October 22. The proposal has three parts:

  • Incentives: It adds 100 million ARB from the DAO treasury to DRIP, the DeFi incentive program, while adjusting its cycle, widening eligibility and extending its duration.
  • Treasury use: It sends net fee revenue from the Arbitrum Expansion Program (AEP) to the Arbitrum Treasury Management Committee (ATMC) for conversion into USDG, and lets the committee deploy those assets to support USDG growth.
  • Scope: It makes the USDG initiative a special project within Entropy’s existing work.

At today’s price, the 100 million ARB is worth about $19.3 million.

Arbitrum Says On-Chain Money Market Funds Cut One Issuer’s Costs by 17%

Arbitrum posted a video of @ajwarner90 arguing that blockchain platforms like Arbitrum can make financial products cheaper and faster to bring to market. He said a partner that issues money market funds told him its operating expenses would fall 17% if it issued the funds on-chain, a large saving in a business with thin margins.

He added that on-chain issuance allows lower minimums for users, which makes the funds more attractive to retail investors, and improves margins for issuers.

Arbitrum Derivatives: Open Interest Rises as Longs Take the Latest Liquidations

ARB derivatives volume more than doubled, up 120.12% to $588.78 million, while open interest, the total value of open contracts, rose 10.92% to $274.03 million. Both rising together usually means fresh money is entering rather than traders closing out.

Liquidations, the forced closing of leveraged trades, were nearly even over 24 hours, with longs losing $452.22K and shorts $459.88K. The last four hours hit longs almost alone, at $83.25K against $3.04K for shorts. Most accounts still lean long, with Binance showing 1.87 long accounts for every short.

Arbitrum Price Prediction: Bullish and Bearish Scenarios for This Week

Bullish Case, Target: $0.2079

ARB holds above $0.1787, closes above the 0.5 Fibonacci level at $0.1933 and clears today’s high at $0.2035. That would put the 0.382 level at $0.2079 in play, with the $0.22 area next. A favorable result in the October 22 vote and rising open interest would fit this path.

Bearish Case, Risk Level: $0.1787 (0.618 Fibonacci Level)

ARB closes below $0.1787 and the rising triangle line beside it, which would bring the 0.705 level at $0.1680 into play. A close below that level would expose the 0.786 level at $0.1580.
